fullscreenaging Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 So as not to hijack bonio's thread....I too had a couple of days of adventure with my better half. We set off for Scotch Corner on Monday for the night. We found a lovely pub that was a 15 min walk away in Middleton Tyas called the Shoulder of Mutton. Nice meal if a little expensive. Still, it was better than junk food from the services around the Travelodge. On Tuesday we headed home 'the long way down' [emoji6]We nipped West and then started the Southward journey with the first stop of the day at the Tan Hill Inn. Just off the A66 above Tan HillThen on through Hawes to the 2nd stop in Gayle and the Wensleydale Creamery. The Mrs bought loads of cheese! The food was very nice from the restaurant though. After lunch we headed off and I'd forgotten all about looking for a waterfall photo op we'd been told about in the Shoulder of Mutton. I didn't realise until an hour later. Doh! I was then too busy enjoying the roads in the Dales until we reached the Peak District. I don't remember the names of most of the roads but here is the route. This is only the second time I've ridden these two areas and they are amazing! https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/route/441443?mode=shareWhat if the whole world farted at once? Quote
