techno Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Basic is good......means Techno will understand meow!!!I dont think we should use the a64 on the way to seaways either
Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Its only a short stretch......and plenty of good roads ahead!
techno Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I know and I always get lost if I try to go that way too
Stu Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I dont think we should use the a64 on the way to seaways either i agree from seaways through ricall then towards howden then turn off towards elvington and follow that road its errrr nice and twisty and got a hump back bridge too brings you out at the roundabout at the top of the A64 where you then meet back onto the original route
Guest nastro azzurro Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 No problem Korben. It's on the B1222 in Newthorpe. Just outside Sherburn-in-Elmet. 8)

Anyone who wants a ''dry run'' at speed before the event with no messing??? Drop me a line.
Guest nastro azzurro Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 I know and I always get lost if I try to go that way too Erm..... mmmm Nuf said

Leave the route as it is......or will never agree...
Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Because of numbers we need to split this into 2 or 3 groups.... I will of course be in the slow group
Guest nastro azzurro Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks boss..... We could spend all weekend on these roads.... there are so many...and they are awesome too. Gotta be a happy medium though so i plumped for the A64/A166 as it is a little easier for those who ain't familiar with the area. Sorry.
Guest nastro azzurro Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Because of numbers we need to split this into 2 or 3 groups.... I will of course be in the slow group I don't have a problem with slowin/stopping @ every or most crossroads and junctions. But will enjoy the catching up 8)
Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Dont be sorry! We dont have time to do all the good roads in one day...But....hopefully plenty of other days we can do small sections of it...You've done a good job
Guest nastro azzurro Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Thanks. Quite easy though as i ride these roads most summers. Must say i am quite overwhelmed by the response this has recieved.Chuffed to bits even.
Guest Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 Yup, looks like its gonna be a big one As such, we need to consider all members involved..... plenty of stops, some good roads, and cater for all abilities and styles. We could maybe meet up before and go through the route with a few of us local people...... so we can take different groups on the day being confident of where we're going Plenty of time yet

If anyone could help with posting a map or even sorting a more detailed one that would be very helpful.Local knowledge and knowing where i am going is one thing.... But i have never planned something that will compare anything like how big this is gonna be. Not bad for a first timer!!!!
