Problem with rev counter

just wondering if anyone has had problems with their rpm gauge not going to 0 when the throttle is fully off. I baught a new 2013 ybr 125 in July 2017 but this has only just started to happen. Is there an easy fix or is there something more sinister to it. Gauge goes to 0 when bike isn't running.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

it would be a problem if it was showing 0

Yes the engine idling is still running so will register an RPM as the engine is turning over. As beefy said 1500 is within the normal limits but as long as it doesn't sound stupidly loud or fast it'll be fine. Also you may get slight fluctuations depending on temperature - when you first start it I imagine it will idle slightly higher than after you've been riding it a while. :thumb:
