MichaelBidgood Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 Hi guysSo around 3 months ago I passed my CBT with the intention to get used to a bike on the roads for 6 months before booking mod1 & mod2. I bought a Lexmoto as it was cheap and only needed for 6 months. However, yesterday it broke down amd will not start at all.I have checked the batter, spark plug, coil, HT lead, amd surpressor cap. Originally there was no spark so I ran a lead straight from the battery to the coil and it thdn gave a spark, So I can rule anything from the coil to Spark plug out. The electrics such as the lights, indicators and horn are working.. but just no ignition. The ignition switch seems fine too. Any ideas on what it could be? Quote

Checked fuses ?Kill switch ?Btw do not have a coil powered constantly unless its being used as it will shorten its life but as there was a spark after powering up work backwards from there checking connections and such like Quote
Guest Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 .......I bought a Lexmoto as it was cheap...... ......now you know why...... Quote
fastbob Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 See if the side stand lockout switch is functioning properly. Quote
Tango Posted January 7, 2018 Posted January 7, 2018 One of our members had a lexmoto for a time and the starter relay was under the seat near the tank......so rain water tended to run off the tank and straight into the relay.....Needless to say, it buggered the relay up......so, I'd take a look there first...... MichaelBidgood Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 Thanks Tango... it was exactly that!!! my mod1 and 2 isn't too far off so just bought a Kawasaki KLE 650. Hope that's more waterproof haha Quote
Westbeef Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 At least you know the KLE won't be water soluble! Quote
