Guest Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 I need a full clutch kit for my Suzuki bandit 1200 1999. Can someone please send me in the right direction with a link to a not mega expensive clutch kit. Thanks Quote
Stu Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 He probably has googled it and they are all expensive hence the question to be pointed in the right direction for a more reasonably priced one!I always find ebay for cheaper EBC clutch parts and if you are replacing the steels then go genuine for those Quote
kingmunky Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 If you're in the UK, get yourself registered on banditforum.co.uk and ask around in there. There's usually a couple of people that have spares/parts they're willing to sell. Quote
fastbob Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 If you need a full clutch kit you would be best to get an EBC one because the stack height will be correct ( according to EBC ) If you buy cheap and cheerful friction plates and steel plates you may not achieve the correct stack height which will defeat the object. EBC full kits also contain heavier duty springs . I don't know what the coil type ones are like but if you have diaphragm springs you will certainly know about it on long trips when your hand and wrist begin to ache . At least to begin with.https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-GSF1200-Bandit-1996-2005-EBC-Clutch-Kit-Friction-Steel-Plates-Springs/191427255329?fits=UKM_Model%3AGSF%7CUKM_CCM%3A1200%7CUKM_StreetName%3ABandit&hash=item2c91f41c21%3Ag%3A2owAAOSwaNBUdfG1&_nkw=gsf+1200+bandit+clutch+kit&_from=R40&rt=nc Hmmm.. I've just noticed that this kit uses Lucas steel plates not EBC , no guarantee of the precise stack height . Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted August 6, 2018 Posted August 6, 2018 When I had this bike, I swapped for the complete EBC kit and the stack height was OK. Quote
