Ion snapcam , worth getting ?

I saw this in CEX today, I could stick it in my model planes or even stick it on the cat to see what he gets up to. BUT every app I look at for it has terrible reviews. Does anyone have one of these and is it true that all the supporting apps are crap ?

....but without the apps, what use is the hardware? Unless you're a whiz at coding and can write your own. In which case, it would appear that you've got a captive market

i was intrigued at if it was the name of person who sold the item or staff name .
