S-Westerly Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 I don't know what you are talking about and I am a bit long in the tooth to be a snowflake. More of a bad tempered old git. Quote
Rustydog Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Not bothered what anyone calls me....as long as it's not late for my dinner, and besides when the kids come home I call them Boomerangs and you all know the song that charlie drake sang Blimey-Charlie Drake, I’d forgot all about him, must be my age! MarkW Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 I do wish people would stop using these lazy terms like Boomer , Snowflake , Millennial , Gammon or whatever else has dribbled out of the internet . Can't we just describe what section of society we are talking about with a few well chosen words ? But 'Gammon' is quicker to type than 'Ignorant and deluded right-wing shit-for-brains who didn't do very well at school and can't stand still for 30 seconds without touching his genitals'. Quote
rennie Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 I didn't know what boomer was the other day so I looked it up!I don't know gammon either, apart from the stuff you eat with egg and chips (never pineapple) And I refuse to look it up! Quote

It was Charles Dickens who started Gammon. Quote
ThePhatomfart Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 Love Dickens ,that's why I chose Mr Pickwick as my on line name, I have the full collection of his works, Gammon was also the name of one of Miss Flite's birds in Bleak House Quote
MarkW Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 It was Charles Dickens who started Gammon. Yup, that Nicholas Nickleby was forever scratching his nads. Quote

Yeh love Honda's too, buy the hardbacks for those, but have about 400 to 500 on my hard drive of various bikes from 1930's to present day (even Chinese) Quote
learningtofly Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 Why anyone would moan at a company striving to reduce its use of plastics is beyond me. Have you actually seen what were doing to the world's oceans, and the effect it's having on their inhabitants? Quote
