Its quite simple and painless but not something I enjoyed having done. I got Posterior capsule opacity occur a 3 years later which is a complication of cataract surgery. 2 minutes of laser treatment at the local hospital soon sorted that out and no problems since. As you say driving at night with a cataract is scary but I'm ok now. Time to get my other eye done now!... Driving at night has become a real problem for me this winter so after a trip to the optician last week I was referred to the local clinic for an assessment .. Dr signed the forms today and I'm now on the waiting list for surgery. 4 1 Quote

bud Posted January 13 Posted January 13 (edited) My father just had both of his done. It went very well with no problems. I had one done about 30 years ago. It made quite a difference. But I later had to go back and have the laser on it. That was a strange feeling. Not painful. But felt like there was a spark plug sparking in the middle of my head. RideWithStyles Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Mothers was well over due, judging and confirmation by the driving. So many years of nagging eventually she got it done a couple of years ago. No problems, She was amazed the difference it made, even sorted her 5+ shortsightedness. 1 Quote
