Ended up with some Alpinestar SMX-6 v2 Drystar. Hopefully they should keep my poor little tootsies nice and warm and dry.

I hope you have better luck than I did with the SMX5 I had a few years back.
They squeaked worse than Sidi’s. 
The left boot Velcro tab would not stay stuck and the zip would undo itself. After a couple of months I dismounted my bike and thought that the boot had come undone again. It had, but the whole mechanism had come undone. One of the internal screws had lost the bolt and the safety bar was just flopping about. 
I contacted SportsBikeShop and sent them back. I’ll never touch anything A star again.
