The concept of the electric Vespa was originally unveiled at EICMA in 2016 and the Italian scooter manufacturer officially started production for the 2019 model. When test rider Bruno dePrato rode the 2019 model he stated, “Riding the Elettrica is even easier and more instinctive than riding any other Vespa. It will be interesting to see how things go in the future. Bikes are light weight. They need relatively small batteries. The small batteries should have short charge times. Cars on the other hand are heavy and need big batteries that take longer to charge. Bikes could become more practical than cars for a lot of people. It could lead to a big increase in bikers.

I would have an electric bike for my commute. I would even consider a scooter if powerful enough. This is not powerful enough and is about the equivalent of a fifty CC isn’t it?
