Yamaha ybr 125 Battery access

Does anyone know how to gain access to the left side panel on yamaha ybr 125 2009 model where I think the battery is located as ignition key won't go in!

Probably had the ignition barrel replaced at some point in it's life, but never bothered with a complete lock set, hammer and a large headed flat screwdriver.

Hi Plank.

Before you destroy a panel can you check if you could remove the seat and access the panel or battery from above.

Butchered locks will require replacing and will have a cost.

Cheers

What @Ian Frog has said. Had a similar issue on my bike in that I couldn't get the seat off as the lock was knackered. I could however take off a side panel and reach inside to pull the wire that moved the catch holding the seat in place :thumb:

Further to what @Ian Frog and @Tiggie have said, try here: Yamaha YBR 125 Service Manual (Page 42 of 218) | ManualsLib
