Thanks for the replies everyone, appreciated. So a bike dolly it is then!

 

I think I'll have a go at bringing the level up to meet the base without a lip, if I can find a cement that won't crack, being quite a thin layer. The exterior levelling compound sounds better to resist cracking. If I can avoid the extra height that bigger castors will bring, so much the better.

 

It was me that laid both lots of concrete, and I left a difference in levels to avoid rain seeping in - wish I'd thought about access first 🙄

If you want one that has bigger castors there is this one with a front wheel chock too,

Don't see why not, the design is pretty simple.

I have also seen DIY wooden versions whilst googling.

Was thinking about a plywood board reinforced with GRP and ball transfer instead of castors but would be too big and heavy. This one in steel profiles is perfect.

I have one of these, and is perfect for me to move them about in the polytunnel, but that has a smooth floor, but did think about getting another and use some plywood to join them together and put on bigger castors, so I could push them round from front to back and vice versa.
