Motorcycle Parking

Does anyone know if it is still free to park at the leisure centre in Cleethorpes, had a look on google maps but the picture is a few years old and they might have changed their pricing since then

Not an answer sorry, but I have been wondering if there's a need for some sort of crowdsourced parking directory - it can be so hard to work out where parking is. I think some people have done them for London but around here it can be a nightmare as even within a council different car parks/bays can have different rules

I used google street view and had a virtual walk into the car park to see the notice board, and it says free motorcycle parking all day, but that image was taken 2018 so it might have changed.

 

A parking guide for places might be a useful addition to the forum

I've done exactly the same before, Streetview is getting better at mapping car parks but as you said it relies on being up to date.

 

One council I looked at under motorcycle parking said "please check the information board or plate for any restrictions". Great help....

 

Companies like NCP aren't much more helpful....

I was doing some googling and found a post that someone had emailed Harrogate council about motorcycle parking, and basically came back to them with no idea

Check out parkopedia, not sure if they specify bikes or not

Parkopedia sometimes has details but not always. I think where motorbike parking is involved it's also useful to know if it's free and whether there's any security features such as attachments for chains available

Just rang them not available leave a message blah blah blah.

 

Besides which there should be no need to ring them, the information should be available to see on their web pages.

I live in the next town and couldn’t tell you if it’s free or not. I’ve never used the car park when on my bike. 
There is designated free bike parking outside the Pier (now Papas), but I know they closed the road off leading down to the Pier to traffic very recently due to COVID.

I haven’t been down the sea front for a couple of years so couldn’t tell the layout at the minute. 
The designated parking is about a 5/10 min walk to the leisure centre. 
 

EDIT: The car park is pay & display but if you’re using the facility then you can redeem your ticket, so free to customers.

This is the leisure centre where I want to park as I will be fishing nearby, the actual street view image is 2012 and not 2018 as I first thought, so this is 9 years out of date, but you can clearly see on the bottom of the sign " Free motorcycle parking all day", all I want to know if this is still the case surely not too much to ask, or am I being unreasonable for such information to be updated regularly.
