I'm interested in two bikes at the moment.

One is a 750 GSXR 1998 29000 miles full mot nearly full service history.

The other is a 600 GSXR 2000 25000 miles full mot some service history.

From that which sounds best?

Depends what you want mate, me id want full service history on my bike same as i did on my sports car, at the end of the day these things get the tits revved off em so i wanted to know it was looked after previous.

All depends if you want a 750 or a 600 really :)

Tough one isnt it :?

The 750 does cost £200 more but has had new sprocket and chain and comes with two brand new tyres worth £220 which havent been fitted yet.

But 4000 miles is a big difference imo?!

Haven't got a clue realy mate.

Did another insurance quote this time with confused.com and the difference is only about £100 between the two.

But people say there isnt much difference in performance anyway...

Is it your first bike mate ? The 600 you have to rev harder to stay within the power band, or at least thats how my R6 is bud. The 750 doesnt need to be revved as hard as far as i know.

Ive just had a new sprocket and chain put on mine mate that will just be a wear and tear thing i would imagine.

I'll say the 750, as I went for a backie on one ten years ago which I've never quite forgotten and which got me into bikes because I couldn't stop grinning for 2 days afterwards!! :D

I'm having one next.....

Ahhhhhh I dunoooo :(

They have both had a respray, both blue the 600 has some very nice decals on it which make it stand out more. But the 750 looks smarter as it only has the odd decal reading GSXR etc.

Oh and yes this will be my first bike :)

Riggsy mate the choice is yours bud, dont let decals sway you though as you can buy most sets from ebay or get them made up bespoke :)

First off, you will not be disapointed with either bike,

Check the insurance on both, if its the same I would go for the 750, it will be easier to ride as it has more torque.

Around £100 more for the 750 matey.

The 600 appeals to me because it has 4000 less miles, but the 750 appeals to me as its got alot more history...

toothe I have no experience mate.

Completely agree with Stu.

I started off with a 2002 CBR600. Had it for 3yrs and then got a 2007 GSXR750K7 last year. There is a big difference in power between the two. Even after riding the 750 for a year, it can still surprise me with how quickly it accelerates (just ask Stu_M) .

your K7 gixxer 750 is gonna probably have more power than a 1000 of 10 year back tho(1998)

My mate has the gsxr6 K1.Its quick enough i can tell you.

Go for the 6 cheaper insurance and tax its newer better developed chassis and no scafolding holding the front together
