jedibiker Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Ive found the best way to diagnose suspension, ride with a drift camera or other and watch the footage.. simple On my bandit its bouncy and hard to watch, actually got onto customer care about it until i went for a ride on the mrs fazer, tested camera again in different settings, and its way more smooth.. good ole fazer lol Was already ordering new springs this week but now I may look at rear shock settings or buy another.. I didnt put this in pitstop as not asking for help etc just chatting about how the drift has helped.. the only good its done so far. 1 Quote

Gerontious Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) A chipped tooth is a dead giveaway. So is a complete lack of adjustment which might be because it wasn’t included or the various adjusters don’t move. You can also look at the age of the bike and it’s miles and then think is the suspension original… in budget or even mid level bikes original usually means cheap with a short lifespan. The problem is the degradation is usually slow and can happen without the original owner even noticing. In the vast majority of cases upgrading the suspension can be the best thing you can do for any bike… even some brand new ones. Edited June 5, 2021 by Gerontious Quote

I think its just time to upgrade, when i got it in 2019 I changed settings until it felt better. changed fork oil etc but not the springs. The footage really shows how the bike is moving with the road more than it should and the lack of suspension taking some of the work. I actually didnt really notice it that much just thought what I could feel was having front preload at almost full etc. Quote
