Pbassred Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Squeezing between 3 lanes of traffic on the North circular Road the other day some impatient guy came up behind me and starts rev-bombing. I don't know what he expected me to do. Wedge my bike between trucks? Pull over just for him? I've seen bikers do this to cars that have nowhere to go. I don't get it. We all want to get where we are going. Some (most) car drivers aren't spacially/ situationally aware, but then that's not part of the car test and not taught. Its a fact of life. Filtering is our super-power, but its a curtesy not a right. I have never seen a car moved by a rev-bomb or a horn. They might move over if it becomes convinient. What this attempt to intimidate deffinetly does is put people's backs up. That makes them hate ALL of us. Why are we trying so desperately to piss people off? Quote
Mickly Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Rev bombing is only acceptable in a tunnel with an antisocial pipe and only then if flames can be guaranteed 3 Quote
SometimesSansEngine Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 When I want to cheer myself up I watch videos of 125 riders rev bombing on YouTube at a minor interaction that with a bit of forward planning they could have easily avoid. It always make me think of this. 2 Quote
Tiggie Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 When I worked nights at a petrol station you would always get kids on their mopeds or similar revving the arse off at the pumps. My lawnmower had more grunt to it One glorious night a guy pulled up on a Harley, one of the big ones, Roadking, street glide or similar. He looked over at them and gave his bike one long LOUD roar I swear you could see their faces turning red under the helmets!!! 3 Quote
Fish Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 The rider was most likely on their way to the Ace Cafe to continue riding like a d*ck 2 Quote
