NathFZ1 Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Does anyone know if these two are compatible? I came across an article in a motorbike magazine saying that the two weren't on some bikes. I ride a 2008 Yamaha FZ1SA. I've just put some E10 in it and although it is running fine and I've just drive around 10-15 miles on it, the bike felt different. The engine sounded calmer, the revs weren't as loud and normally you can feel the bike pull away when you give it even a tiny bit of throttle. Gonna do some more research but would welcome any thoughts. Quote
MikeHorton Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 I wouldn't have thought it is due to the bike being a 2008 maybe worth a phone call to a local Yamaha dealer. Quote
Pie man Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 (edited) I have a Yamaha and it runs on E10 just fine. I thought Yamaha were ahead of the game and all their bikes from 1990 onwards were compatible. Still better off doing your own research. Edited October 13, 2021 by Pie man 1 Quote
Stu Posted October 13, 2021 Posted October 13, 2021 Yamaha All Yamaha models from Model Year 1990 are compatible with E10. Older models should continue to use E5. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-e10-petrol Quote
