Mississippi Bullfrog Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Cold weather will lower the battery capacity so it needs to be fully charged. I keep mine on maintenance chargers and even so the Honda is flashing yellow rather than green in the mornings. Give the electrics a spray with WD40. If damp is getting into them it will make starting in the mornings difficult. Quote
fastbob Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 Remove , sandpaper and replace your battery leads including the other end of the earth lead . Just because they appear to be done up tight dosen't mean there's a good connection . If it's still knackered after that then you might have a shit battery but at least you're ruled out the cheapest option . Quote
onesea Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 When Cold sounds like battery, however “or wet” wet sounds like electrics, same advice start by checking battery terminal connections. Liberal amounts of WD40, on electrics. If Wd works then next time you have the issue spray it in areas and try after each area. You might eliminate down to one specific area/ connection. Another option is cheap bike cover/ tarpaulin to keep rain off… Quote
