Gavin14774 Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) Hi everyone, I’ve joined as I’m looking for advice before doing my test. I did my CBT in December and I’m weighing up whether to get a 125 to practice on due to the length of time it’s taking to get training and tests or hold off and get a bigger bike once I’ve passed the tests. I’m 47 and will be doing the Direct Access. Edited March 1, 2022 by Gavin14774 . Quote
geofferz Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 (edited) Welcome! Nah, just go das. Best way. Unless you really need to want to ride right now but the weather is crap. Edited March 1, 2022 by geofferz Quote
bonio Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 How long do you have to wait before you can do DAS and the tests? Quote
Gavin14774 Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 The earliest I could do a course would be the Easter holidays assuming there are places. I’m not sure what the situation is with test now but there was a large backlog due to Covid. Quote
bonio Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 I'd say get yourself booked in for the tests, then start the DAS training now, and spread it out over the next 6 weeks. You'll be out on your 1000cc whatever before the summer starts. Quote
Gavin14774 Posted March 1, 2022 Posted March 1, 2022 I can’t do that, all the training places round here just do week long courses. Quote

Most places I know of are very flexible - but that was a while ago and I suppose things might have changed since then. Quote
