dilligaf76 Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Does anyone know if it's easy enough to change the brake hose fittings as mine are slightly rusty on the surface, I wouldn't mind some stainless steel ones. I could get those Hel branded ones but I don't really want to spend £100 on brand new hoses! Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Do you mean replacing the hoses? The fittings at the end are part of the hose. Slight surface corrosion isn't a huge problem but hoses are service items that are due for replacement at designated intervals. If you can bleed brakes you can change hoses. Just make sure you use decent quality tools, a set of brake spanners makes the job easier. Braided hoses will improve the feel of the brakes. 1 Quote
fullscreenaging Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 Plus you won’t need to change the braided hoses for donkeys years Quote
fastbob Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 . . . Hoses are manufactured all of apiece so you have to replace the whole thing . There was a screw together system called Build a Line years ago that I was never very happy about selling if I'm honest . 1 Quote
