Fish Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I've been running the Osram Night Breaker bulbs since Oct/Nov and the main bulb has already blown. What recommendations do you guys n girls have for me. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I fitted Halfords own brand higher output bulb about 3 years ago. Still going fine. 1 Quote
husoi Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 LED's have now become legal in the UK. I would start by having a look on them. Just don't go to Chinese crap ones and don't go mental with the high power ones. Anything below 30W should be bright enough. Quote
Stu Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I had some leds in the fjr and they were very good Quote
Fish Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 LED's have come a long way in recent years, but from everything I've read they have/require a different reflector backing that standard halogen's. Quote

Not exactly. The problem lies with the LED is in a different position than that of a filament bulb which produces a different light scatter due to its position There is LED's out there where they are set to the same as filament bulbs and you get the same scatter with no stray light I bought these and they are spot on https://www.amazon.co.uk/KATUR-H7-Headlight-Waterproof-Conversion/dp/B07QXB6SW7/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=led+h7+headlight+bulb&qid=1677014141&sprefix=led+h7+%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-4 2 Quote
