I can only imagine I would always wish I could see the screen properly under a variety of conditions. How did you manage an XT for that price? I can only find them for £340 Blue light card. gives discounts for emergency services. NHS. social care or armed forces. it comes in handy for things like this. just a matter of hunting down resellers who accept it. but for a general purpose motorcycle sat nav, you dont need the latest and greatest. they have been rather good for a long time now, but they do hold their value so even second hand will not be as cheap as one designed for use in a car. Fleck Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 (edited) Bought a Zumo earlier this year, after using Google maps I didn't like it. The search and navigation is slow and inferior. I now use Google maps again but via an Android auto/Carplay screen so my phone stays in my pocket. You just start the navigation on your phone even before you go out and lock the phone screen. Go out switch the ignition on, the screen boots up and goes straight to navigation. It also displays texts and plays music via Bluetooth if you're bothered. Oh another plus point is they are only about £130 https://amzn.eu/d/f8YiwQ7 Edited January 16, 2024 by Fleck Quote

Simon Davey Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 It does look like a permanent install though, which means you could end up with a damaged bike, or cut cables/broken screen in frustration.. Quote
Stu Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 I got one of these to try it seems to work well 1 1 Quote
davecarrera Posted February 13, 2024 Posted February 13, 2024 My navigation is Google maps via phone linked to my Sena Stryker helmet. Pop the phone in my jacket pocket and charge all kit when needed, cables in bag in top box, at an overnight hotel / b&b or at home. For now seems to work and no need for wiring up to the bike. Tomorrow needs might change 1 Quote
