Brake lever, struggling to reach.

I am struggling to reach a full four finger grip on my Tracer 7GT. The lever bends away at the bobble so much so I can only get three fingers over the handle. Are there aftermarket levers available that are less swept which might help? I bust my little finger a few years ago so it's not dextrous enough to lift over the lever easily so it sits between the lever and the throttle.

Have you adjusted the lever, has it got a disk at the pivot that you can set to No.3 or 4?

Yes, a wheel with 1-5 but it's still a bit to far the get a full grip

I’ve never used 4 fingers on the brake. 
Always 2 fingers (index and middle) 

I find it more flexible this way as you can blip the throttle on downs shifts. Using 4 fingers is too rigid for my linking. No throttle control.

Whilst I've agree everyone does it differently, I was taught in my lessons that you should always have four fingers on the brake, four fingers on the clutch levers. I think you could probably get a minor, or even fail your test for not doing so as you'd be classed as not in full control. 

 

I wouldn't exactly be comfortable advising people to change to this method, I'd suggest an ergonomic change to the levers first if they're already comfortable with using four fingers.

My issue is the little finger is hanging between the throttle and the lever. It wouldn't assist in applying pressure anyway but having it in the way could see it severed off in the event of a fall. 

 

Yes, during my mod-1/2 I was advised that all four fingers must be on the levers during operation.

I use 2 fingers on mine. (Same brakes) There are loads of options out there though especially if you search mt or XSR, like dog leg variety. Beware of eBay Chinese rubbish though, go branded.
