A chap with pillion had a falling over moment in a car park in Cromer as I walked towards the bike parking area. He and pillion had regained their feet by the time I arrived and each seemed unhurt.

Unfortunately he and nearby onlookers went about lifting the bike in entirely the wrong way - pulling the bike towards themselves grabbing whichever part of the bike came to hand to pull on.

I lifted the bike for him (I forgot to note the make/model of bike but it was a lot lighter than mine!) without the aid of the “helpers” who were getting in the way. Checking he was ok (he looked remarkably embarrassed even though I did say it had happened to me a couple of times).

Moral of story - learn, and practice how to pick up a bike.

Had that practice a few times with the multistrada which being an adventure bike is tall and somewhat top heavy. Touch wood I haven't had to pick up the Guzzi. Do know how though.

I got that "T" shirt in Buxton a couple of months back,  reversing the bike into a tight M/Bike parking bay, down a small slope, across a camber, me and bike on the deck,  pedestrian was passing, stopped turned bike off, and helped me and TBike up, great guy.   Scratched fairing but no other damage.

Why oh why did I even think this was a good idea, brains of a slug at times.

I love Norfolk.  My favourite place to dream to live in the UK is just down the road from Cromer.  A place called Mundesley.

I know Mundesley well. It’s at the end of the B1145, which is quite fun to ride. Or was when I lived in Norfolk.

Anywhere around the seaside is a bit of a traffic jam. We went in the camper so just park up and walk, or get the bus on the £2 fare and look out of the window. 🌞
