JTDG Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Hi all, Friend had a try of my bike, dropped it, front break lever is completely bent. Is replacing it fairly easy? Someone mentioned it’s a case of just taking off one bolt and one screw and away you go. It’s a Honda CB 125F 2024. Had a look around but can only find ones up to 2020. Does anybody have any suggestions where best to find one & if they are easy to replace. Cheers! Quote
husoi Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 You can replace it or unbend it. Is should look the same as the other lever so you can compare how far you have to go. That happened to me on the shadow. I took it out. Use a torch to heat it up and slowly straighten it to the correct shape. Important not to try too hard to have it back. Patience goes a long way in these cases 1 Quote
bonio Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 You'll need to take it off and put it back whether you replace it or bend it back. I'm a spannerphobe but even I'd reckon it was easy job. 1 Quote
AstronautNinja Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 If you forsee a second dropping, bend it back, if you don't then replace it. 1 Quote
Solution RideWithStyles Posted September 7, 2024 Solution Posted September 7, 2024 Most of the time they are drop fored, they dont take lightly to being bent back. You’ll have the heat the hell out of it first to at least soften it and make it a tad more malleable to give you the best chance. if you look them up, if you can link up the parts number? If they match they will be the same. Sometimes the similar model line up might share parts (cbf,cb, cbr etc) 1 Quote
bud Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 (edited) Fowlers should be able to get you one. https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/view/53175-KVG-A21 It says not in stock. But if you order it, they will get it. Then post it to you. Edited September 19, 2024 by bud Quote

As far as biscuits let alone beer/whisky concerned, if I can’t fall into the biscuit tin/next watering hole you’re too far away . Astro just between you and me…..looking around and whispering- I’m near there but not “in it” hence why its tagged at a Burger King . Quote
JTDG Posted September 21, 2024 Author Posted September 21, 2024 Got the new lever, fixed it today. Wasn’t too bad. I did notice my clutch lever wobbles a lot though. Like up and down. Idk if that’s strange or it’s normal and I never noticed it before . Quote

Maybe needs a bit file work if too thick 1 Quote
