Was planning on some green lanes, but haven’t got round to it yet. Had a road bike years ago but not had a motocross so joined this to learn more about them. You won’t believe what I did today. I left it running for like 20+ mins and as I switched it off it made a whooshing sound and leaked some fluid. I now know you shouldn’t idle a bike for more than 2-3 mins at the very most! I daren’t start it now in case I’ve damaged something. Quote
Simon Davey Posted January 6 Posted January 6 @Rash Judging by the colour, that's coolant, and not a lot of it really. Check the level, and look at those dangling pipes that bikes have for overflows and expansions, you'll probably find one with the a droplet of coolant on the end. Quote

RideWithStyles Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Agree with both. if the fan has not kicked in then the fan and sensor needs checking, then things like the rad(s) and the block as if it’s gotten too hot, even in a hot spot area it could have damaged or warped something. If you lucky it just bubbled as it may have been over filled or blocked, if its bad then parts need changing. Id also check the oil and filter if something has failed as above, it might have degraded it sooner or even tell you if something has failed… Quote
