Tinkicker Posted April 18 Posted April 18 (edited) After a lifetime of observation, if you are organising an event that is reliant on good sunny weather.... Always hold it the weekend BEFORE a bank holiday.... Just checked the met office forecast for easter and its changed from sunny periods through easter as forecast yesterday, albeit a little colder, and overnight the forecast has now changed to cloud and rain throughout easter. Just great. Edited April 18 by Tinkicker 2 3 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted April 18 Posted April 18 Our ride tomorrow has had every forecast possible. Yesterday it was promising dry and sunny. Today the forecast is wet and dull. Makes no difference other what gear I wear and what bike I ride. I am going out this morning to check a couple of corners where there was gravel. If it's still there I'll give it a sweeping with a yard brush. 4 Quote
ManceJoan Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Haha, sounds about right! It's like the weather knows when we’ve got plans. I’ve been caught out too many times trusting early forecasts. Holding it the weekend before a bank holiday might just be the pro move — fewer crowds too, if you’re lucky! Quote
S-Westerly Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I can assure you assuming I get home next week the weather will be cold, wet and windy. It always is. 1 Quote
