Nice wee 260 mile run today alongside (at times) the R1 from next door.

From Hamilton to Loch Lomond, over the Rest & Be Thankful, through Inverary, down to Lochgilphead, up to Oban, down to Tyndrum, through Callandar and back down the M9 and home again.

Absolutely knackered, but well worth it.

Stopped off at the Green Welly, but by that time (about 6.30) there were only 4 bikes there, two of them ours.

Will post a couple of pics after my pizza.

I do love Inverary, such a quaint wee place.

First time I had been to Oban since I was 3 though.

Fantastic roads.

Do you still have family there mate ?

Loch Fyne hotel is excellent too.

no i dont have family there now mate, they are in tullibody just outside alloa :)

its a great place if the weather is on your side lol, been in the loch fyne hotel a few times and knew the owners quite well. its been 9 years since i was last there so its probably changed owners now.

i dont think the village would have changed much though lol.

next ime in back in scotland i'll have to go and have a look to see whats changed

Should have posted something before I went out on Sunday but I forgot.

I came up to Scotland for the first time on Sunday! Left Anglesey at 6am and was home for 9pm having covered 617 miles

Made my way into Scotland on the A7 and worked my way over to Duns and Chirnside for a visit, I made such good time I decided to pop over and touch the UK's east coast at Berwick as well. Quite a few bikes out having fun on the fabulous roads you've got there :D

Next time I'm stopping over and heading up to Callendar like the girlfriend suggested

That is some run mate.

Anytime I have been down Borders and Dumfries way there are always tons of bikes about.

I am sure Daz, Chicane and Centurion will confirm that one.

Oh and do as the gf suggests next time as well.

Another couple of hundred miles is nothing

Nice wee run outs this weekend.

Saturday

On my own.

Up the M8, over the Forth Bridge, tourist road to Kirkcaldy, then along through Windygates, Leven, Largo along to Elie to visit the parents.

Oh and back again.

Sunday

With my mate.

Up to Stirling, through Doune and down to Killin.

Along to Aberfeldy, Kirkmichael, to Forfar, into Arbroath.

Along to Dundee, down the M9 (stopping when we couldn't see for the rain - changing visors and hiding under a tree), through Dunblane, Stirling and back to home.

Ouch, me arse is numb.

Great couple of rides though.

Have done more than the mileage that was on the new bike, within a week and a half

Both days, loads of bikes out, and all good.
