Motorbike Boots

Recommended Posts

Managed to melt the right one on the exhaust of a small off road bike... Did their job and protected me from the burn.

TBH they are still perfectly useable, but I like my stuff to look good and I have been looking for a reason to replace my old ones with CE approved ones for ages... :D :D

I just got some Sidi Vortigo boots - the ones with the adjustable calf section - very comfortable indeed and am well pleased with 'em!

Just breaking them in is a bit squeaky

I've got those, they're great. I paid around £110 off of fleabay for a used pair that someone had never worn, they came with tags on etc. Can't fault them, very comfy and quality good. The adjustable bits are a real advantage.

was looking at a pair of them! Would you recommend them? How much did you fork out mate?

Not to be funny, but I really wouldn't recommend Sidi's! At all. You can bend most of their boots in half....

I can bend any boot in half!

 I'm sure you probably can.

But what I meant was, boots such as TCX are a lot sturdier than the majority of Sidi's. The woman at my local Honda actually refuses to sell Sidi's because you can bend them so much. I'd rather have a boot that's going to support my ankle and be much more likely to prevent it from breaking in the event of a crash :P
