i would be happy with that with the tyres i use

just get another conti attack front cos if you go for a different tyre you should change both to match plus conti's are good tyres and have a little more tread then most and last pretty well by the way go for the advice of the bike shop i think conti attacks are about 65 quid for a front

i voted shaft as its easier to clean and lube you dont need to do it on a shaft and its quieter and smoother

have a look round for a OSBE if you can find one i paid over £200 for mine and is a excellent lid the lining is still like new really comfy and you can pick them up for £120 or less now

i fitted some tyres last week myself all i can say is its more hassle then its worth took 2 hours to do if you can get the front and back wheels off at the same time go get them fitted at a shop only costs between 5 and 15 quid a wheel plus they get rid of the old tyres too
