    Me, Walney and hopefully Blakey will be riding out through the Dales tomorrow, Kendal - Ingleton - Hawes - Masham - Ripon and back to Kendal via Skipton. [initial plan, open to change of course!] Will be at the Black Sheep Brewery (Masham) for lunch if anyone fancies joining us. All welcome on the ride and at the brewery. Matt

    If this is still going ahead can you let us know where the ride on the Saturday is starting? I think me and simon are still up for it, and we can lead a bit of a route round The Lakes if required. If you're camping at high wray then I could suggest the big carpark by the lake at Waterhead (next to Ambleside) for a meeting/starting point - as it's on the main road through the lakes and there is a petrol station nearby in Ambleside if anyone needs fuel.

    Haha, last time I rode that way after the Pudsey run in November, we had to stop at the barrier to find 10p. My wallet was locked in the top box and it was raining so me and pillion were both soaked. By the time I'd got off the bike, got my gloves off and started to try and find the top box key, the guy in the car behind had got out and paid for us both! lol My mum lives in Scothern but I don't get that way on the bike much sadly.

    Weather looks good, just maybe a few isolated showers. Everyone still up for this? Simon and Andy, meet at mine at quarter to ten. Jim, if you're still coming we'll meet you at Morrisons petrol station, A6 north out of Kendal, at 10 (along with anyone else who wants to come along). Let us know though.

    Can't do the big ride tomorrow, haven't got time, but if it's nice I could meet you at devils for a brew in the afternoon. Weather forecast looks ok. PM me with your number Jim and i'll text you tomorrow lunch time if I can make it. Anyone else up for a devils meet? I think the consensus for Sunday is if we wake up and it's lashing down, forget it! Don't mind if I get a little wet while riding, but if it's raining before we even set off, that's a different story (with a much wetter ending!).

    Well, according to Metcheck it might be an idea to plan for getting a tad moist on Sunday (and I don't mean due to the excitement of getting out on the bike after a week of rain!) Is everyone still up for this provided it isn't toooooo awful? Matt

    Had a great ride out, set off at 10am with Simon and Andy, had a burger at Raceways following some extreme drooling over the new bikes, then on to Blackpool, watched the stunts and had a good look round the stalls at the show. Then went on to Devils bridge (busy) and back home. Would have had a good sun tan if I wasn't more armoured than a military armadillo, but enjoyed the nice weather anyway! Anyone else make it over there? Matt

    Obviously i've spoken to you on the phone Blakey, but for anyone else who may like to join us: Me and Blakey will be meeting up with Simon (walneyfrankie) probably in Milnthorpe and heading down the A6 to this Blackpool event. There is a high likelyhood we'll be going somewhere for food and probably stopping at a bike shop or two. Then a ride back later in the day. Supposed to be good weather too. Everyone welcome! Matt

    Had a great day on saturday riding with Korb, weather was lovely - but MY GOD riding over the Snake today i honestly thought I was gonna get blown off the road it was sooooo windy!

    Just got to Chesterfield via the Cat and Fiddle - stopped there for lunch - what a lovely day!! With regards to going to Matlock Bath, the girlfriend wanted fish and chips there that was all! What are they doing about parking enforcement? Surely if you don't stop over the time limit you're ok aren't you?

    Hi, riding to my girlfriends in Chesterfield tomorrow (Friday) then gonna ride to Matlock Bath for fish and chips around lunch time on Saturday if anyone is around for a chat and/or a ride for a few hours afterwards. 125's welcome as I will have my lass as pillion so will be taking it easy-ish. My mobile is in the contacts section, i'm on a green bandit and i'll probably have my forum fleece on. It's supposed to be gorgeous weather this weekend too, looking forward to 3 days riding Matt

    LOL i haven't moved to Scotland, I think Mr Walney meant he thinks I will be in Scotland that weekend! In actual fact i'll be in Lincoln that weekend - but rest assured I still live in Kendal!

    Got my replacement switch for my grips and fitted it this evening. Took the bike for a spin to test them out, and Oh My God they are amazing - and not "Oooh that's nice" amazing, i'm talking "Feck me it's minus 2 and i'm riding around in summer gloves with warm hands" amazing! Can't believe i left it so long to get some of these things. Anyone thinking of getting some, just get them JM
