    Anyone up for anything? I know some of the newcastle guys are heading over to Hartside so maybe a run to incorporate a meet up there? Haven't been to Hartside since i got dive-bombed mid-ride by some psyco buzzard near penrith... Or maybe devils, harrogate, ripon, masham, hawes and back to kendal? Oooooo! I like that! Supposed to be nice too this weekend but, erm, well this is Britain isn't it

    I'm up for this again this year. Fond memories of last time on the 125 - 1st TMBF ride for me too Should be able to bring the g/f as pillion, and run from Carlisle to, well the end if required. I have the whole week off Any ideas on accom for the saturday night? Matt

    Ok, I hate to be the organised one but i thought planning a ride on the 6th of sept in a threat entitled '30th august' wasn't the best plan, so here it is! I think myself (+ louise on pillion possibly), drago, blakey, jimsoon and a mate maybe so far are up for a ride around this area. Simon (Katana650) is flogging the Kat on EvilBay at the mo so doesn't feel like ragging it around Cumbria just in case. Anyone else? Will keep an eye on the weather but if it's half decent we'll be out.

    Coolio, if we get some ok weather (and at the mo it looks ok according to metcheck) there might be a few of us out saturday. Is it worth starting a new thread that has the correct date for the ride as the title?!? Also, is it worth adding a poll for heavy-metal stripper photos?

    Haha, i think we might need to! Really can't quite believe how naff the weather has been every time i've had a day off! Was gonna head down to matlock for next weekends ride but it's gonna have to be a cumbria/lancashire/yorkshire ride i feel. I have a gig in macclesfield saturday night and need my whole drumkit, so can't really see me riding to matlock and back, then driving to macclesfield and back and playing a metal gig in one day! So, saturday or sunday, lets pray for sun.

    Mmmm, i'm keeping a very beady eye on the forecast at the moment, then on saturday morning i'm gonna employ the Dragolith tactic of waking up, looking outside and if there's enough bluey stuff and yellowy stuff, i'll ride!

    Hello to all. Is anyone gonna be riding across to this along the A65/A59 or nearby on the Sunday? I'm camping in Masham that weekend but gonna head over on the sunday and take a butchers hook. If anyone is coming across i could meet up somewhere on the way? JM

    Just bought a set of these panniers on ebay. Also ordered the tailpack from J&S. Got it this morning and it's very good quality. Haven't tried it on the bike yet cos, well, it's been lashing it down for the last 50 squillion years. Got all i need for my camping trip at the end of august now. Although i might end up selling the bike and buying a canoe.

    No worries on the speed Blakey, i may have a pillion again so not bothered about attempting to break any land speed records. Besides, when you pass i'll have the slowest bike out of the three of us! Dave, put the tow rope down!

    Well it depends mate. You're about 125 miles south (and round a corner a bit) of me, dragolith, blakeatron and a few others, so it really depends on where we are riding to. Lancaster would be about an hour and a half ish north of you up the coast. Or you could get to Devils in about 2 1/2 hours i would think. If a few others are interested in coming out we could sort a meeting point out somewhere.

    Weather on metcheck is supposed to be goodish on saturday, so anyone coming out? Fancy a few hours out, maybe devils/tann hill/ride round cumbria or nearby.

    That ride was mint! Me and Blakey rode back to Bowness along the dual carrigeway then the crook road. Bowness was absolutely rammed with people at the airshow. Total - 130 miles: Kendal - Windermere - back to Devils - Lancaster - Clitheroe (absolutely noooooo idea how we got there!) - Long Preston - A65 back to Kendal - Windermere. Weather was sunny all day. Nice to meet you Blakeatron. Piccys to follow. JM
