  1. @asharin Do you have a picture? Doing a little tinternet search suggests they are Monokey. There are different types of Monokey though, as per my returned order when I bought mine...
  2. Excellent reading, as always. And those pictures, love the screenshots, they're all so different in detail, from the lighting in the cockpit to details such as the raindrops on the side window. Thanks for taking the time to share.
  3. That's only funny because no-one else was involved....
  4. Quite a difference considering your already cleaned them. I have an unopened can/bottle of MucOff, not for long.
  5. I had this with my bike (ZZR1200), People thought it was funny when I said my bike bike wouldn't run slowly enough. One shop mechanic who spent a considerable amount of time telling me how well trained, and how many decades experience he had, stripped and put the carb's in the ultrasonic cleaner. It was barely any different. It was much faster from 4k to 11k, but he didn't sort it. He told me to just ride it faster. Took it elsewhere where I got "yeah, we do this all the time, leave it with us". So I did. It cost just under £400, they replaced all 4 idle jets, seals and O-rings. Now it's literally perfect, I love it. Probably better that it wasn't running so well when I bought it, as I hadn't ridden for 24 years
  6. Being of an age and having heated carb's, as mine is too, it's quite possible/likely that at some point they were blanked off for diagnosis, or because of some misconception. I would reconnect them, carb icing can happen in the summer,as well as cooler weather. If the bike runs badly because of it, you'll have some investigation to do.
  7. I like a plain gloss white, but I also fancied the fluro yellow. I went for this colour scheme because I thought the irregular pattern would help with visibility. I decided against the yellow as I had visions of drivers behind getting target fixation on my crash helmet and rear-ending me! I'm looking at the ESS though.
  8. @Angela Collen I got this one https://www.helmetcity.co.uk/nolan-n100-5-hilltop-metal-white-black-048/
  9. There's so little logic in big brand manufacturers not doing what they can to keep their dealers happy.
  10. Thanks @Steve_M @bud Maybe I'll get a local Voge dealer after all.....
  11. @Bender Did you get Luke Littler to do that?
  12. If you have the room to keep and maintain it, without it being a PITA, then keep it. You never know, you might need it.
  13. Well, the Nolan N100-5 turned up today, it's such a nice snug fit, really cosy, and doesn't move around on my head, and it doesn't drop down onto my nose when I flip the front down. I haven't removed the stickers on the visor yet, I'm going to do a bit of Farm Sim whilst wearing it first. First observations are, it's a great fitting helmet, but the two button squeeze to flip open is a little annoying, and I guess I'll get used to that quickly. It also needs quite a tug top pull it back down. I only tend to use the flip when I actually get off the back anyhow. Love the sun visor mechanism, that ratchet that drops in three stages, and the spring to flip it back up is superb, much, much easier than my HJC i90.
  14. I hate to admit to being a big softie, but I've literally got tears in my eyes..... That is so darned good to read, and she sounds so sweet in the video. That's @Hairsy & @Mickly have scored 100% in getting bikes running. Nice work boys, and a lesson or two for the rest of us.

    Running

That's a flippin' good start to the year. Well done that man.
  16. Yup, they're all wearing rugs at the moment, even though they only go out for a short while each day. It's nice for us to know they're warm enough. @RideWithStyles I just placed it in front of an unused door. There's a four foot drop outside, where there used to be a loading ramp.
  17. Yesterday you were freezing yer fingers off replacing an outside tap, now it looks like you're in the Bahamas....
  18. It is indeed, but I wouldn't lean too hard on it
  19. It was a small barn, and the previous (upmarket twats) owners of the farm converted it to a snooker room, with an external, very well bolted door large enough to get a bike through. We have just filled it with junk, turns out it makes a very good garage though. The house is 17th century, the barn is similar age, but lots of old, non-original beams added. It's not that nice in there, apart from our junk, I need to address the collapsed ceiling and rain coming in.
  20. Wow, that was quite a day. You might not feel so positive, but you're one day closer to the fix!
  21. I put up a five shelf 1200mm X 600mm rack from Screwfix. Also found a £15 rug rail in the barn, the screw holes actually lined up with the holes on the rack. I now have somewhere to hang my gear. Although my gear is now hanging in front of everything, sliding it along the rail is no hardship.
