Yes, because that would then mean speed was reduced to the same level as ignorance and stupidity that so many incompetent drivers achieve. Instead of appropriate training, they'll reduce the speed limit. There will be the same accidents, just at a lower speed. Why not just reduce the accident rate in the first place.

Same here, just washed out pickup truck, on a muddy farm track too, meh.

@Mississippi Bullfrog That's makes sense, my ill fitting flip front is quieter than my snug fitting full face. Mustn't forget, of course, slapping my Cardo on the side is going to create noise.

The most effective ear plugs I've found, are the Sealey yellow foam ones, I get them from my local agricultural parts shop, about £2 for a pack of 10 pairs. I don't ride that often, so cost is negligible.

I have a Shark Ridill which fits perfectly but is so noisy, and has a terrible view. I also have a HJC i90 which is fairly quiet, but doesn't fit that well. So, I'm thinking of an addition. I'm not a cheapskate, but I'm not loaded either. I have some Christmas money that I could add to. Although I use a flip front, and I do like to flip now and then, I also quite like a full face, they're lighter and less faff to get on and off. Do you guys and gals have quiet helmets?

The best present I got , I bought for myself, it's a Logitech Heavy Equipment bundle for my Farming Simulator. No bad or unwanted presents, but lots of chocolate, plenty of beer and some rather nice jumpers, which are too nice to wear whilst on the farm, which is all day every day. However, I also got a £50 J&S voucher, which I'm thinking of using towards an Oxford 70L roll bag. I'll use it instead of a top box when staying away, hoping that having it across the back seat and panniers will eliminate the back end wind buffeting I get from a top box.
