    Can of chain lube £8, large bottle of cheapo gear oil £3, oil lasts forever, doesn't fling off anymore than spray on lube. Last two chains on mine have lasted 25000 miles. No contest.

    Had a GS750 back in the day, mate had a identical one. Rode like loons everywhere (ok was younger then and roads empty). Great bikes, great engines. Mate sold his, then bought it back as he couldn't bear to see it being ridden so slowly. Think he's still got it somewhere.

    Depends what the end can is made of. Autosol can make a real mess of some finishes.

    Autosol is abrasive and puts scratches in..There are non abrasive polishes on the market. Sure someone know's which.

    Nightmare, surprised Suzuki are still using those bolts. Had exactly same problem years ago (GSXR1100) and ended up loosening the engine bolts, to twist the engne so as to gain access to them, then heated them up with a blow torch to get them all out except 1 why is there always 1 f**king, s***** bolt that won't move. Had to drill that out.

    I'm considering some shorty type footwear, as the standard long boots are uncomfortable when you get to where you're going. Had a ride to Beamish last year, and because that place so big, I was crippled after walking about all day in the bike boots.

    I fancied a flip front helmet until knocked off recently. This was the result at 20 mph. My helmet (Schuberth) had its visor torn clean off, you can see what happened to pillions. Put me off getting a flip front, and would never consider an open face (which is what you'd have).

    Saw one near the east coast last year. Sounded really nice as it passed.

    2 strokes, despite being simple, are very finicky. Could be lots of things, even the crank oil seals which have failed which causes the symptons you described.

    As above, but dn't be tempted with unknown makes from ebay etc, as they're lethal.
