  1. Yeah while I'm running it starts to make the noise. I'll get a new plug tomorrow but when I checked it had a massive purple spark :/
  2. There was a fair bit of smoke from the exhaust when I tried bump starting it this morning as well.
  3. No, the bike won't start. Yeah, if I electric start it just turns over and if I bump start I get that horrible sound. Electric start sounds normal and bump starting makes a terrible sound (it's in the video)
  4. Do you reckon that could be it? its a long shot though Yeah, 5k definitely. It looks like he had it stored in the arctic for the past 6 months... Some parts of the bike has rust and all sorts... 0.o
  5. thats a good thing! That's good to hear! I think it'll have to go to a garage and get sorted
  6. Well, running it without oil will probably do it! Haha, thanks for clearing that up I've drained the oil there was no shavings what so ever in it Checked the front sprocket; http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/8875/imageent.jpg
  7. Noooo, don't tell me that! How can such a well made bike and only have 5000 miles need an engine rebuild!? :'( Nooo, not going to be on my bike for a long time then! :'(
  8. Sorry for the suckish video, perhaps it'll give you more of a grasp on what the noise it "> Didn't want to push anymore encase it's doing more damage.
  9. It's a hard noise to describe I'll try make a video in a second thanks
  10. Hi, so I checked where t was coming through but couldn't make an absolute answer it's either the barrel or starter motor... When I take the spark plug out the clinking goes?
  11. I'll find out where the noise is coming from in a moment
  12. Yeah plenty of compression it pushes my finger right off it, I'm confused :'( I seriously hope it's not major i have no money Thanks for the help tango
  13. So I bought this bike on the 19th of May not had it long worked like a charm and now it wont... It's a 2009 Yamaha YZF 125. Right, well I started my bike this morning as usual, no problems at all riding through my village and some numpty learner driver in front was stalling and stopping so I had enough of it and overtook him then about 5 seconds after bike stalls and when I tried to restart it it had a weird clicking noise while the engine spun over so I wheeled it home The plug was wet and had a nice big purple spark... Kept trying and trying before nothing, just a clicking noise, tried to bump start it and nothing was moving even in 5th gear so I checked the oil... Had about 1 cm of it right at the bottom nothing on the dipstick... shit... Got some oil almost crying thinking the engine had seized up poured it in tried turning over... nothing... So I sat on it wheeled it back and forwards before it finally came free and started turning over... phew... Battery was dead so charged that to 12 volts... nothing still... Tried bumpstarting it and I can hear a clickety clackety sound which increases with speed... Jump starting it doesn't have the same sound it just turns over and over and over and over... Now I'm sat here with tears in my eyes thinking I've f*ck*d my bike... Any suggestions would greatly appreciated! (Sorry for the amount of ellipsis' and I'm not literately crying I'm a MAN! but I'm not happy )

    HELP

A lot more detail will need to be given than that... Just take it for its MOT and get them sorted, electrics are quite a complex subject...
  15. I'm on a military training course everyday from about half 6 till 6-7 so anytime after that
  16. Wherever you like, I'm bored sat at home and my bike is getting cold I'm not doing anything from now till late tomorrow as it's bank Holiday!
  17. Is there anyone in them areas fancy a ride about? I'm only on a 125, want to get some experience riding with groups My number is in contacts thread if I don't reply instantly on here
  18. I feel exactly the same. Your solution is to marry a man who does like putting tents up (like I did haha!), or just get over it, and enjoy camping with a big group, getting rather twatted and having a real laugh ! We (and by we I mean my husband and likely some others who are camping!) will help you put your tent up and take it down for sure And dear god, don't forget the underlay like I did when camping at BMF this weekend just gone - SO....VERYYY....COOOOLD! Hahaha, I'm not into the whole guy on guy thing, not that I'm against it just not my cup of tea I'll see what it's like driving with a tent on the back, I can pick a 2 man tent up for next to nothing anyway so I can bin it after anyway Seriously considering it though When is the latest I can let you know stu??
  19. Haha, that'd be good but I can't stand camping, the stress of putting them up and neatly back into the bag sends me mental and even when in in the tent I don't sleep
  20. Thanks grumpy old git I've got my google maps on my iPhone and I'll just have headphones in and pay attention for the drive there, I'll be alright on the way back I have a good sense of direction I'll let you know for definite soon stu once I find out whether I'll be there for the day or stay sober and get a travelodge I can't afford them ridiculous prices at the venue
  21. Good luck EAB It'll take me 3 hours to get there without motorways, not as bad as I'd though though
  22. I'll try going on a longish journey see how I feel Still a bit wobbly, I thought of using my phone but it finds the quickest way using mototways and I can't use them I might try driving up to a group that's going
  23. Got my bike Just need a volunteer now To take me there :DD
  24. To do list; 1) Buy a bike. 2) find someone lucky enough to have me following (no mototways) 3) purchase TMBF rally tickets. 4) see such a prestigious act like this live; ">
