  1. Yeah, that's the one I was thinking of - 99% of the time it was your worst enemy, but if you could have a full team at 9999 health before it connected and with two materia each then that was the fight over
  2. Small enough that no corner of the map is safe once you start to spam cruisers...
  3. I'll certainly be there, not sure of a day yet. Hoping to see a Honda CRF250 Rally or KTM 390 Adventure or Royal Enfield Himalayan in the flesh... afterwards I'll be hunting unicorns and jumping 30 London buses on a Chinese 125.
  4. See the post above 4-Cut + HP Plus, Master Command + HP Drain, Master Summon + MP Drain, Phoenix + Final Attack is pretty unstoppable, if a bit slower. Also good: purposefully run from 2222 battles, then use Chocobuckle on a member of your team with 9999 health, triggering Lucky 7s mode and a string of 64 uninterrupted attacks at 7777 damage per hit. Also good: fight Emerald weapon with only 2 materia each on two of your team (need to have 9999 max health, so probably HP plus x 2). Third team member has lots of healing magic, pref. full cure and cure 3 with All materia. When Emerald uses the attack that hits all team members for 1111 x number of materia of equipped, the two attackers immediately go into lucky 7s mode and deliver a total of 128 uninterrupted blows at 7777 damage per hit. Emerald doesn't have enough HP to survive it, so it ends the battle pretty darn quickly. Also good: go into the fight with Cait Sith already at limit break, mash the square button to slow the reels down and aim for the Game Over attack. Instant kill on any enemy in the game, even bosses, even Ruby weapon at the start of the fight when you can't normally hurt him.
  5. All good practice though, if you're going to be working on the bike yourself. Learning where all the screws are and any tricks to reassembling it quickly and easily. I can get all the plastics off mine in a matter of minutes these days.
  6. Also: Yep, don't think anybody disagrees with that. That's a bit of a tall tale, on the other hand That's a GN125 engine in your bike, like so many other Lexmotos (or Chinese bikes in general, really - it's more than two decades old so no surprises its done the rounds). Fairly distinctive little engine, same one as my old Lowride and Glorian's old Sinnis Cafe. The Suzuki legit version spits out ~12bhp, same sort of output as the 8.4kw that Lexmoto quote. 8.4kw is nearer 11bph, but they'll both vary depending on where you read them, pretty much the same engine at the end of the day so can give the Lexmoto the benefit of the doubt. But the GN125 weighs 22 kilos less and still tops out at an absolute max of 70mph. In fact, my Lowride was only 6kg heavier, and that thing was very lucky to break past 65 on level ground and a windless day. If we're talking anything less that downhill, favourable wind, or twostroke, then 77mph is pretty much WR or YZF turf only.
  7. Those ruddy birds were always my downfall, just couldn't get my head around them all... I have to admit to being lazy and beating Ruby Weapon to get the free Gold Chocobo, instead of doing all the hard work myself. And yes, somehow in my logic it was easier to beat Ruby without KOTR than it was to just breed the damn Chocobo. Teenager logic right there http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v358/AlexClarke/Nelson-YoureOld.jpg
  8. Yeah, that's a good one too. My end of game setup when I first played it so many years ago was something along the lines of Master Summon paired with MP Drain so it effects all summons, and KOTR with HP Drain, so every use of KOTR fully heals and restores your MP, and then Phoenix paired to Final Attack so you can never actually die. And Phoenix drains their MP too, so even if they use an instant kill attack one turn after another you still have enough MP to do your final attack each time This time round I'm going for: Added Effect + Hades, Added Effect + Contain, 4x Cut + HP Plus, Master Command + HP Drain Counter Attack + Counter Attack, Counter Attack + Counter Attack, Counter + Deathblow, Deathblow + Added Cut. So every turn I strike four times with each attack carrying a chance of poison, sleep, silence, confuse, mini, toad, death, break, and freeze. Every time I get hit, I counter with a deathblow and 5 other normal attacks, all with the statuses listed above. And because pairing HP drain to master command makes it effect all commands, that makes even my basic attacks drain HP. Who needs KOTR?
  9. Yipes! Not so good about the mileage! They know what kind of bike they're selling, right? To be fair, I think it was on the F650 forum that I saw someone talk about 0% finance. Could well be just the low end models that are covered. BMW giving out cigarettes to kids in the playground at lunchtime so they can sell them at a hefty markup outside the school gate next week
  10. Are you secretly my cousin Isolde?!?
  11. Yup, broken as hell. I also had all the level 3 limit breaks for Barret, Tifa and Cloud by the end of the Mythril mine Did some serious levelling so I could kill the Midgar Zolom and get Enemy Skill Beta nice and early on... Mwahahahaha. I'm now in the process of trying to master my counter-attack materia for the third time - turns out, if you stack multiple copies your character counters multiple times. Might try pairing the counter materia with the 4-cut materia for good measure. http://i.imgur.com/OYgyl.jpg
  12. I've never been pulled over on my bike. Not convinced my 125 was actually capable of getting me in that much trouble, but that's the GN125 engine for you! Once visited a couple of friends in Chatteris and arrived to find they had hotboxed their living room... went for a walk for a bit to try and clear my head before driving home but after an hour it was still pretty fuzzy by the time I needed to drive home. 11pm-ish, the A10 was completely empty... save for the police car that joined the road just behind me at Stretham The remaining miles of that journey were covered in a state of absolute paranoia!
  13. Coulda sworn I saw someone post in another thread recently saying that BMW had some great 0% deals going at the moment, may have imagined it though
  14. L plates are basically the same thing as diplomatic immunity.
  15. Something about being a death trap at high speeds, I seem to recall... Isn't the ST1100 the one with a well earned following and a slightly more solid reputation? ZZR might not need to be off the road as long as you're anticipating, forks and sprockets aren't too bad, as long as you don't forget any tools or parts you should be able to do them over a weekend. Fingers crossed bearings aren't much worse... I say fingers crossed because mine need doing
  16. Playing FF7 on my PSP at the moment. Managed to grind Gold Saucer for omnislash before getting to the temple of the ancients, game is a bit easy now :/
  17. I once ran over someones gran while doing 115mph in a Tesco car park on my Lexmoto Lowride, cop pulled me over by the bicycle parking but he let me off cos I had L plates and we had a nice chat then he asked me to marry his daughter cos clearly I'm f*ckin epic
  18. If in doubt, keep a roll of electrical tape in the fairing compartment to be safe
  19. Oh god, NOW you've jinxed it...
  20. Start off small, don't try practicing it on country roads with crappy surfaces and tight bends
  21. And to think I actually bothered getting off the sofa to go upstairs and check the name of the stuff I use...
  22. I know there are at least a few people on here who raised an eyebrow to the news of a Final Fantasy 7 remake... Am I the only one who is hoping they keep the V-Max lookalike "Hardy Daytona" motorcycle from the original game, instead of replacing it with that overdesigned wanky "Fenrir" motorcycle from Advent Children?
  23. Always make enough coffee for one more cup than you think you'll drink. ALWAYS.
  24. Never had the problem myself, and I have very long hair and often wear my helmet for whole days at a time! Worst that happens is it gets greasy a bit quicker than usual, but not by much. I use Tresemme Colour Revitalise, which doesn't just preserve the coloured bits in my hair, it also moisturises intensely to try and repair some of the damage that all the bleach did I only condition the tips of my hair and the bleached bits, and again I use the Tresemme Colour stuff. So I guess if your colour is natural, I'd recommend giving their intensive moisturiser stuff a shot? Essentially the same but without the chemicals that preserve artificial colour. Also, if you blow dry your hair then Boots do this stuff called Hair Protection Shine Serum that you rub/comb through your wet hair before drying that further protects it from drying out and getting brittle. It's one of their own-brand products, the packaging is plain white and it's the same sort of size as one of those sanitizing gel bottles, even down to the little pump nozzle on top. Hope some of that helps My main problem is my hair escaping from my jacket & scarf when I'm on a motorway and being one big knot by the time I arrive at my destination...
