  1. That upload speed is awful though. And how do you run the heating through it?
  2. Damn the evil EU and their super fast fibre optic......I wanted 9.9k dial up!
  3. I know.....it's awful isn't it? I've suffered it since 2013......only because no other forum will take me. And besides being a place for juvenile, willy waving machismo, ego trips, as you've rightly pointed out.........it's also full of Gammons and Casuals! Generally, when you've hit rock bottom, this is the place to come! It truly is the shallow end of the gene pool.
  4. Rupert Murdoch by proxy as I understand it.
  5. George Soros got to him obviously!
  6. I don't troll......I just comment with acerbic and incisive wit based on the analysis conducted by a mind capable of critical thinking. It's something that you wouldn't know anything about obviously. But it's a handy attribute to have!
  7. Roads were icy at 9.30 this morning here.....-6 forecast for tonight!
  8. See.....you're still angry despite getting what you wanted!
  9. Yes......but it's not new......we've always said that in South Wales. I believe in posh places in England they use the term "unscheduled dismounts".
  10. I wouldn't worry about Remoaners whinging......nothing can be changed now! What's done is done......and everybody back there has to live with the consequences. If things go OK and the Pound gets stronger then I'm happy, cos my Pension goes up accordingly. But I ain't holding my breath on that!
  11. I'm sure the Brexiteers will get a new lease of life from Saturday when they finally throw off the shackles imposed on them by those unelected EU bureaucrats! No longer will they have to live their lives under the oppressive foreign regime imposed on them for so long! I just wonder what they're going to be angry about now? Cos they're not happy unless they're angry about something! And as I understand it, Priti Patel is now looking at bringing back hanging! Obviously the Tories will want to make some dosh out of it, so no doubt the executions will go out live on Pay Per View.
  12. Yeh.....I stopped binning on the road in 1978 skyrider! Last binned on the dirt in 2004.......found that I didn't bounce so well as in my youth.
  13. I remember parting with 22 quid in a private sale for a 62 Lambretta TV175 in 1971........and not having any idea how to ride it home. Couldn't even afford a helmet. Binned it a few times on the way back but I made it. Somehow! So next day I went out and binned it a bit more......just for the hell of it!
  14. I'll do a new one when I get the chance.......and I can show you how low the seat is at the same time.
  15. What the two time MOTY said!
  16. There is......adjust the YouTube or your speaker volume. It was taken on the mobile so it wasn't right by the bike.
  17. No more photos! So how about a vid instead?
  18. Strom's are not particularly tall compared to some of the Adv Bikes. But if a low seat height would be better for you then think about what I've got......G650GS. Not sure how low it is......but it's way below anything else in that group......think they wanted to cater to shorter riders/women possibly.
  19. Exactly! Back around 2003/4 I thought the TDM900 was exactly right for me! Turns out I hated it.......the way it handled just didn't fit with the way I ride. The front end just felt very vague and it seemed to have the tendency to keep drifting wide on bends.......for me! Not that it handled badly......it may have been perfect for others.....but for me it was all wrong. Sold it after two weeks!
  20. I tell you what looks a really interesting place to ride......Nepal and Tibet! Anybody ever done that?
  21. Think about a 650 Strom......great bike and can turn it's hand to most things!
  22. Budget? New or used? What style of bike do you prefer? What are you going to use it for? Are you going to take a pillion? Long distances/Touring? Do you plan on doing any offroading? The important thing is buying a bike that suits your needs.......and only you know what they are.
