  7. Good Evening Ladies & Gents Tomorrow or Friday, I will be off buying a new jacket, a leather one too this time round. I'll be heading off to Hein Gericke first, then J&S if I don't have any luck there (both in Doncaster) Having never bought a leather jacket before, I've previously just had textile, what should I be looking out for tomorrow (or Friday) in a jacket or fit? Is there anything in Hein Gericke I should pay particular attention too? Any general advice? Cheers.
  8. By locking myself in a padded room in a bubble-wrap suit!
  9. Bob, when you were like that, with the training and eating for it, how normal was your lifestyle in terms of drinking and eating? Did you have to be really strict, or were you able to get away with the odd roast dinner or whatever?
  10. My initial motivation was just to get fitter and healthier. I went on a bodybuilding website and saw some people transformations and found those quite inspiration, even if that's not my aim. My biggest inspiration was probably my instructor, meeting someone in person who is actually very fit and strong pushed me on and gave me that boost, especially considering that he's had heart and spinal surgery, proved to me that if he can do it, anyone can. But I do think it's important to keep things in perspective, you're not going to get a six-pack and massive guns overnight.
  11. What's your favourite healthy foods? For me it will have to be fish (sea bass and tuna mainly), sweet potatoes and chicken.
  12. Interval training Sue, is a cardio activity, where you do something at a heightened pace for an amount of time, then at a gentler/lower pace for a period of time, you do this in cycles. For example, you could run for 2 minutes, then jog for 1, then repeat for 10 repetitions. It's very effective for fat loss, building stamina and improving you're cardio recovery times.
  13. I'd also like to add that it doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself, I still go out from time to time and let it all hang out. The other week and I had more than my fair share of beer and huge plate of cheese and chilli nacho's, it's about finding that healthy balance, for your mind and body.
  14. Mixing your workouts is expecially helpful when lifting too, as you can peak if you keep doing the same things, so changing every so often will help you make greater gains. For example, instead of just doing a standard barbell bench press, try some dumbbell presses, flys and chest dips etc, there are other benefits of doing this too, in terms of the different parts of your body that you hit.
  15. Well done Mightycaz, impressive stuff!
  16. It's funny you say that, I've been trying to find pictures, but I can't seem to find many, especially clotheless ones.
  17. Is that it? I do more than that on iTunes!
  18. Good Afternoon I was talking to an amazing friend earlier and she got me thinking, so I thought I'd share this, not for my own ego, but I am pretty proud of it and maybe I could motivate someone else to make a lifestyle change, not by following some ridiculous fad diet or "get thin in xx days" rubbish that you see in magazines. I'd like to also show that it can be done, so when you're feeling down or struggling to lose those extra few pounds, if you focus and keep at it, you'll get there and it is definitely worth it. Plus the attention from the opposite sex is very welcomed. (I am still single ladies) When I was 18/19 I weighed approximately 18 and 1/2 stone (117 kg's). I knew I was fat and ashamed, but didn't really do anything about it for a while. One day I decided to take control of my life and shift the weight, that was 2 years a go, since then I've focused on eating well and returned to training in martial arts. I now weigh just a tad over 12 stone (76 kg's). Life is now great, I can move around pretty swiftly without getting tired, I can buy and fit into clothes of the latest trends, people show me more respect, I've had a massive boost of confidence and feel all round healthier. I can't really lose too much more fat without getting skinny, I've been down to 11 stone once already, so my next step is to find a good gym and focus on building some muscle. Oh and for those that are interested, that's a drop from 44 inch waist trousers down to 32" slim fits. So here we are, the before and after pictures. I'm also interested on seeing others achievements, so go on and get some pictures up, and show us what you've done.
  19. I'd try ringing several times tomorrow, if that fails, I'd just pop into town and take a gander.
  20. f**k it! That's what I thought when I saw a lass at the train station earlier...
  21. Oh sh!t, that actually makes me feel a bit sad, which is odd for me, being evil....
