  1. I'd get a yamaha, cbr is solid too but it's tiny. Just my opinion.
  2. Think I'll start practising this weekend. This is nearly as good as being told you've passed.
  3. Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm going to get my test done ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. We need to work out where abouts first, I'm in Doncaster, so not too far from Nottinghamshire.
  5. With a restricted 400 you'll still be able to go fast enough to lose your license anyway.
  6. There are road legal ones and ones not for road use.
  7. Yamaha sell the brackets, check the accessories section of their website and they also sell a topbox that will fit it too.
  8. Those lids are mega, I'd love one, they look really aggresive.
  9. Got a new lid and pair of gloves today. My lid is a HJC CL-XS, the visor can be removed and you can use goggles with it. http://www.helmets4u.co.uk/images/CLXS%20SILVER.jpg In that colour. And I've got a pair of Madif Arlen Ness gloves, can't find any pictures of them, but they are very nice, leather all over with carbon fibre protectors, in black. I was after some supermoto style gloves but the ones I tried I didn't like and were never in just the right size for me, eith medium was too small and large was too big. The only pair that I found that fit were very thing, no leather, only a small amount of carbon fibre and the rest was mesh, so I didn't get them. My wallets a bit lighter now.
  10. Going for an Indian with the family...if that is any help.
  11. The thing is I'm not keen on Cusworths, I went in and got fobbed off when I asked some questions and the seemed uninterested even though I was looking at getting a bike.
  12. Right people, I've seen a helmet I like on the web, but I don't know of anyone that sells it and J&S don't do it, what am I too do? I don't like the idea of getting it without trying it on. And does anyone know of a offroad bike shop in Doncaster? There was one in Balby but it recently closed. Oh here's the helmet>>> http://www.dirtbikexpress.co.uk/motocross_helmets/no_fear/new_2008_no_fear_prime_motocross_slash_enduro_helmet_black_heraldic http://www.megaserviceshop.com/shop/images/nofear_casque_prime08_heraldic_noir.jpg
  13. Anyone know of a good website that explains the basics of how a bike works, well I say the basics, a bit more than "this is a brake, it slows the bike down and makes it stop."
  14. In my opinion, you should have just got a 4 stroke. I couldn't be arsed with a 2 stroke, I'm sure it'd be great for thrashing the life out of but after a little bit I think I'd have regrets.
  15. Just don't ride at 85mph.
  16. I'm wanting some new gloves actually because I have the same issues with mine and when it gets warm(like that happens) my hands get too hot. I want some thinner leather ones, may cost a pretty penny but hopefully they'll last for a while.
  17. One bike in J&S Doncaster has an alarm fitted and everytime someone just moves the bike slightly, it goes off, don't know why they just don't turn it off too be honest, it's rather funny seeing people do it though.
  18. You buy cheap you buy twice. I wouldn't have one as I'd probably forget about it and try to ride off.
  19. I was wondering if it would ever be practically possible to a 125 meet and ride, the only thing is I think we are so wide a spread and not being able to use motorways as the majority of us are learners and I woudln't take a 125 on the motorway if I could. Just curious and wondering really to see if it would be possible and if anyone would be up for it.
  20. I'm off tomorrow and all weekend. Hmmmm what shall I do?
  21. http://www.ktmforum.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=135 Plenty of problems with the KTM posted here.
