  1. Nothing wrong with a RR for a first bike. All 600cc are dull until your right up in the revs.
  2. Cheers guys. Strangely it doesn't bother me. I'm more bothered that I've got to buy new leathers. I suppose it's because I expect it to happen. I've not broken my body yet so I'm sure my view will change. I got a burn on my arm where the leather went through and a leather burn on my bum I even said to myself while eating my breakfast that I could go faster through the other chicane because I won't crash Girlfriend will go mad if i smash the R6 up though, I've already been warned
  3. Get yourself to the shop in scunny, she will beat any price. Im not going. No decent discounts last year, i wanted engine case covers and they was more then they are online delivered to the door.

  5. i only started racing in september so i only managed 2 races. The last race didn't go well Booked darley moor and there last race is stars of darley. Turned up in the dark and rain, couldn't find anywhere to set up so naturally i went and set up next to john McGuinness Got everything ready and went to bed ready for the test day. Woke up and peter hickman had set up next to me Id set up in the stars bit, nobody said anything so i stayed put. Test day went good, few small issues but i couldn't complain. 1st time riding at darley and it takes some balls, comming down the back straight towards a Chicane and i got in the brakes, got passed by about 6 bikes going into it. Next time round round it was no brakes, knock it down from 5th to 4th and flat through it jumping the kerb at the exit The bike felt planted, the tyre was degrading abit and would occasionally throw me in the air highsiding as it lost and gained grip, no biggy it was managable. Race day come and went out for qualifying. I did 1 slowish lap, come over the start/finish line to the 1st chicane, tipped right then left. On the left id gone to close to the raised curb (its a really high kerb) and either the swingarm/peg caught it and lifted the rear tyre off the floor and i tucked the front. I didn't get knocked out but i just remember putting my hands out thinking f**k and then sky/tarmac/sky then i remember seeing a front wheel and yellow fairing and thorght this is going to hurt/sky/tarmac/grass. Jumped straight up and run to my bike because it was smoking. Id gone down hard, i have case covers on but it had wore through but impact had smashed the case anyway. End of racing for the weekend. Knackered my leathers but McGuinness and hickman signed them for me when i got to the van Can't wait for next year. Oh and id borght a new bike, got a R6 for 2017
  6. My mate had a 600bhp drag car. 1800cc turbo and it would last about 20 road miles before something went wrong.
  7. Yep that's normally about right. One down on the front means faster acceleration but lower speed for the same engine revs. I'm a strong believer that most bikes leave the factory over-geared just to meet emissions and noise regulations. First thing anyone should do is drop a tooth of the front sprocket. I went -2 +3
  8. My cbr is going up for sale if anyones looking for a track/race bike with v5. Either in its current state or fixed.
  9. Ive got working cocker spaniels, decent level of training nothing bothers them. All 3 kids have pulled/poked them and they have never even looked at them wrong. But they are really really protective. If the kids are playing in the street the dog will follow them, if someone comes towards the kids the dog will put itself between the kids and them (as some old bloke who come out shouting at the kids found out) Il play fight with the dog and it will nip me, unless one of the kids comes close then it will just stop. Ive no doubt that if someone tried to take/harm the kids the dog would bite, i wouldn't class her as dangerous though. Other kids will run up to them and she will lay on her back so they can stroke her so she is obviously switched on about it. When i go night fishing alone i take her with me, a few times she has turned people away and made them walk the longway back around the pond.
  10. Some of you may have seen i am raising money for a little girl to have a life changing op. I had some trackday vouchers to raffle off, a huge success so i was thinking of doing the same. So any ideas on what would make you guys get your hand in your pocket and donate, im not talking mega money though so sub £300. http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj44/vtrdonk/20161006_165419_zps5stmtkpk.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj44/vtrdonk/CyclingForTammyFlyer_2-3_zpsdzboi368.jpg http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj44/vtrdonk/CyclingForTammyFlyer_1-3_zps0kbtfna9.jpg
  11. Picking the winner on friday. Just £1 gets you in with a chance of winning. The impact that £1 could have on this little girls life is huge. Thankyou
  12. It was good. Can't wait to do it again. Hopefully doing one in october
  13. Thankyou I was knackered, 1st race was good as i was fighting to keep 11th with another rider, he never passed but i could hear his engine all the time and i knew if i let up he would come by. Race 3 was the same, i had 10th swapping places for 8 laps with another rider, got abit of space between us and then at the second to last corner i come up to a slower rider to lap them. They messed the hairpin up, put their foot on the floor to keep balance and i had to avoid her and that let the bloke behind past I did 4 races and got 9th 10th and two 11ths out of 20 ish riders
  14. Im going grey and was born in 89

  20. Done, its in the top post. Think im going to do a coast to coast cycle. About 135miles.
  21. 1st year will be self funded. Once ive got results il start begging
  22. http://Www.gofundme.com/2n499fw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Is the link. I figured that this was the easy way for people to donate.
  23. Sorry but this is going to be abit long. Seen as im going racing i thorght i could use it to do some good. I asked about charitys to support and someone come forward saying about raising money to help a family whos child has cerebral palsy, sent me a link. It costs 32k and there is no funding for it. This persons own child has cerebral palsy, so i figured that seen as i want the money to make a diffrence and not get lost in a big pot that this is a perfect cause. I have a few ideas to raise some money, but im not sure how to brand it (if thats the right word). Obviously a charity would have a name/website to help with this. Do any of you lovely lot have any ideas on how i could get this out to the masses?
