Fine Vision is a pinlock for visors with no pins. Does what it promises and is easy to fit in minutes although they like you to allow the glue to cure for 24 hours. Readily available and on Fleabay for £9.99

Thanks guys - I 'm afraid I had to partake of a few rums yesterday just to be sociable so I've just seen this now. Another year closer to the pension!!

Do you get your fuel from a reputable dealer in case the water is mixing into the fuel at the pump? There are some hooky boys out there will do anything for a buck!
-
There's an visor insert called Fine Vision which is made by pinlock and works on all visors with or without pins. They cost about a tenner and are on eBay. I ordered one today so I'll let you know how it goes when I get it fitted.

Which one are you riding? I'm a K1100 LT SE man myself!

There's a radio cassette fitted to my K1100 with two speakers in the front and two on the back box! It's surprisingly good even at high speed. Could do with it being RDS radio and get TA that way but I suppose it'll have to do!

I had one of those Oxford clocks on my last bike - they're Velcro backed and there's a self adhesive pad to stick to the bike. It works fine but isn't the easiest to see as its quite small. Better get one of the analogue clocks which are easier to read.

As per Throttled's post above. I have the same Bluetooth sets and they work a treat between rider and pillion as well as rider to rider. A word of warning - make sure you both have the same Bluetooth headsets as some won't pair with headsets made by other manufacturers. Don't know why!!

I've been in the service with women and had no issues with them at all. I found the girls just as capable to do the jobs and in some cases they were harder task masters than their male counterparts! I understand that there are some issues around front line service but honestly there shouldn't be a big issue made of this. Ask any if the girls!!

Go DAS- you won't look back cos you won't need to!!

Great rebuild. Looks sweet.

Remove the liner and wear long johns - they're easier to keep clean and fresh and mean you don't have to wash the textiles so much. It also means you can easily change your textiles for jeans without offending public decency!! I have 3 pairs so always a fresh pair!!

Turn off the cellular data option and only use Wi-Fi to get your data. It'll save battery for you.

What does Miley Cyrus eat on Xmas day?
Twerky!!
How do you kill a circus?
Go straight for the juggler!!

Its very easy for criminals to manipulate innocent people into doing their dirty work for them.
Do we know for sure they were not blackmailed into carrying the drugs?
"carry this package or we kill your family"... that kind of thing...
I believe that's why they're only sentenced to 6 years and 8 months rather than 16 years. I've heard folk talking about the girl from Northern Ireland and apparently she listed her nationality as Irish and was travelling on an Irish passport yet the UK taxpayers will foot any bill if they are returned to a UK prison. No harm folks but I say leave them there and let the message get out - Drugs is for Mugs!!!!

I had an ar*ehole like that behind me a few nights ago so once we hit the twisties I put left hand on left knee and slowed down! As soon as the road straightened he went out to pass and I thought about taking off but decided to let him pass - just so I could get his number. One of my biker buddies is the local traffic branch sergeant so I had a word!! He hates as*holes like that!! Lol

In which case having a good mechanic you can trust is a better plan - even if it means spending cash. Ask the group who they use in your area and make a decision based around that. It'll be a few pounds well invested!!
-
I got lessons at £25 per hour booked in 2hour blocks in Northern Ireland. Just as a benchmark for you!!
-
All my courses gave been police courses too. The standard is set very high and rightly so.

Get a copy of Roadcraft and carry it in your pocket - they won't be able to argue with their own printed manual!! Cheap as chips on eBay or Amazon.
-
I get that too sometimes!! Next day could be as good, or could be back to the day before!! On the whole it gets better and I'm defo a better rider than I was 6 months ago. Enjoy the feeling and I hope tomorrow's a good day too.

I did my Advanced Driving (Car) course 22 years ago and it held me in good stead for biking as the principles are the same. The video is very educational and was pretty much how my local bike instructor teaches his students.

If you put your foot down you must have been going too slowly. To quote my instructor when I was getting ready for Mod 1 "Rev it like a learner" by which he meant make some noise and slip the clutch on your manoeuvres. This should help keep your speed up and your feet on the pegs. Remember it's once up a slalom and three figure 8s so come off the last cone in the slalom as if it's the bottom cone of your first completed figure 8 and get yourself into a good position for the rest of them.
