Run a search through your emails for text like "motorcycle theory test" and you should find it pretty quickly. Alternatively check your bank statement for the date you paid and only check your emails for that date. Simples!!

Well done DL. It brings a smile to your face! Now your learning really starts!!

Relax - your examiner is a biker who once sat where you are. You've done all the hard stuff so far so just ride safe for half an hour, remember your lifesavers and don't linger on your mistakes. Best still get some distance between you and him by slipping through lights just as they change!! Most of all, enjoy your riding a bike. Let us know how you get on. Al

Actually I'm just thinking it's 30 years since I was there. Wall was up and Checkpoint Charlie was in full flow. Travelled through into the East and toured some sights there. Amazing city from what I remember. Must revisit soon!!

I hope she didn't mind!!

They all know English but will pretend not to unless you try and speak German. Once you try they will give in and speak to you in English. I suppose to them we sound a bit like the copper in Allo Allo!! Good moaning!! Lol

You can't get points for cycling - you can only get points for licenced driving or riding. You can get fined however but points are impossible.

At lights always keep a look around you and keep an eye on the phases of the lights. If you're in neutral and you see the other lights begin to change, get yourself into gear and ready to move off. They don't like you to be surprised by the lights changing so you should be anticipating it. By looking around it shows that you are alert and aware of other road users and watching for hazards. Lifesaver. Lifesaver. Lifesaver.

I recall somewhere in my misty memory banks that bikes shouldn't have inner tubes fitted but for the life of me I can't remember why.

I did the same coming out of the slalom into the figure 8 the first time it did it. Apparently I was too slow. Keep your speed up a bit and keep slipping the clutch (rev like a learner was what my instructor told me)!!! You'll be fine next time round (especially if you have the same examiner)!! I flew through the second time round with no issues. Part 2 a week later was no problem either. It helps to slip through changing traffic lights and put a good bit of distance between you and the examiner!! Lol

The autosol will remove small pits do a good clean up job but if the chrome is badly pitted the best option is to have the fork tube restored by a professional - they will regrind the tube and rechrome it. Not sure of the cost but I've seem a website offering this service somewhere in the greater London area.

Possibly but I was following the Slimming World plan!! Anyhow it worked.

One wee think that made a huge difference for me was giving up bread. No tiredness in the mornings. No afternoon slump and no heartburn or digestive discomfort! And it helped me lose 5st in the process!! Worth a try.

How to clear oil spill?

I usually mop up oil drips by spraying the patch with WD40 and wiping up with a rag or paper towel. Saw a mechanic friend do it once so I gave it a go and it works. I reckon you could probably wash it down ok afterwards.
