  1. he would have prob been picked up by a camera they cover each exit i hear, so friendly invite to court coming his way. Unless its a foriegn driver
  2. Guy martin knows nothing about cars? Do your research on wikipedia by any chance? I think he may surprise you. As much as i like guy martin i couldnt watch him turn top gear into another 5th gear type factual car show its supposed to be a blokey show that makes your sides split. Jonny vaughn? Really?
  3. I like the pearl white one. Does the sun visor flip up out of the way when not needed? I was also looking at the Caberg Hyper X. One more question, I've seen some helmets described as Bluetooth ready. Will a bluetooth intercom fit any helmet? Yes the sunvisor flips up and down, comes with the pinlock insert, great ventilation, no buffering at high speed. Good all round lid really. Not familiar with the cabergs.
  4. My hjc has a real wide field and full field pinlock insert. Hjc is-17 have a look at one and see what you think
  5. A test ride is more than possible, if you was looking at the new r1 or m1 then maybe they would ask for more experience. I was only riding 6 months before i was let loose on the demo fleet at wheels and i took the k6 750 gsxr, hyabusa, and tuono. Abs is becomming more and more common and wouldnt be surprised if all bikes have it in the next few years. Its an added safety feature so go for it, just as long as you ride not thinking 'its ok i have abs' dont rely on it and use the skills you learn in your test and course. I know people that hate abs in cars and thats been roumd for years and they never actually have an argument other than your not really in control which is a load of tosh, the main function of abs is to be able to steer while heavy braking so you can brake and avoid the obsticle ect, Oh by the way i domt have abs and havnt ridden with it either
  6. Im hoping to go my mate should be back in uk by then too so he can come
  7. Unless you buy tailored boots they will have a bit of wiggle room, partly so you can tuck your trousers in or have them out
  8. If you have no joy with the carpet one just look from the bonnet side and look where there is a congrigation of wires going through, poke the live through and then look for the big red cable on the inside. Failing that i know plenty of people that chased them through the nearside wing into the door shut and then under the trim and do it that way. Good luck i gave up with systems years ago cant hear them over the exhaust on the car
  9. I only found out today they were cgi now as my friend done his and passed last week, he said it was miles easier as he has done 3 theories in 18 months car, restricted bikeand now unristricted
  10. Lmao, someone is still asleep
  11. Anyone planning on going? Its the auto 66 meet, great club racing. Ill be leaving from boston, time to be confirmed
  12. You have to ride to the conditions, my test was in the middle of winter so greasy slippery roads so riding at 60 wouod have been silly. There will be an element of national speed roads and prob dual carriagways, the main thing they are looking for is road positioning for corners and corner speed, are you maintaining speed round the bend or increasing or are you slowing if your slowing then thats a bad mark.
  13. Check this but as far as im aware you need to take a cbt to validate the entitlement on your licence and until you take it your not legal, but like i say check. You will have to sit a cbt to start the course as you will need to provide a valid cbt on your mod 1 so you may as well get it out the way, £100 and a day of your time. Get a 125 and practice if you like or do what a lot do and just book th whole course and do all in one go and spend the money on a big bike
  14. Cant wait!
  15. Hope your ok mate, what they do cut the corner? Or pull out? Bas***ds, keep your chin up take a chill make your claim and get one of the above
  16. Anyone coming from lincs? Group ride there?
  17. Agv k3 is a top lid had one last year but went down in it so onto another. Now have the hjc is-17 got a cracking deal. Looks great, reflective lettering, internal visor, pinlock, and comfy. Very cool as said above, slightly noisier than the agv but mich better aerodynamics no buffering
  18. I was advised to not filter. I didnt and remained in traffic on occasion. I passed my test with 0 minors. I dont think youre required to filter. Make progress is different be it dual carriage ways etc. You dont get taught to filter and so im happy to say its not required of you either. Plus devils advocate... Its a heightened risk to filter. I was taught to filter and was told on the day pf the test if the examiner is on a bike ill be expected to filter. Sitting in traffic is never good in a test my sister failed her second driving test because of an accident on the motorway brought the test route to a standstill and there was not enough driving to asses on.
