go for it, if your painting it, gets it well rubbed down, two coats of good primer, two coats of what ever colour you choose and lacquer, if your going two colours, use the frog tape to stop one colour bleeding into the other and you'll be a happy man. obviously paper over anywhere you don't want overspray on. -
Im maybe looking to drop a tooth at the front and up two at the rear, limits to 169 mph but improves the low down a touch.

go and buy a fibre glass repair kit, you simply layer the mesh, paste the hardner over and rub down to smooth finish, really not that difficult, have patients and spend time on it and you'll be fine, for the fairing clips, mark the right position glue on with araldite and fibre glass over them. Give it a shot, you'll be proud at the end. -
Hi mate, I have an AKRO link pipe with Yoshi can, bought the bike with it on so not too sure of the advantages, I gather the weight saving is fair and read you could gain about 7-10hp, not got a PC5 but assume one may be required to see these kind of gains! When you roll off the throttle it pops and splutters like a superbike, bloody love it! Hold the revs at 5k and it sounds like a bike on the limiter in the pit lane. Awesome

hadster replied to Tango's topic in Cambs & East Anglia Rideouts and Meets
Nice to see all, very useful information, it's information stored in the mind now that may just help save somebody in a serious situation. Well worth attending, highly recommend spending a few hours of your time to listen to these guys! Thanks for arranging Tango, look forward to seeing all again at a meet soon! -

Dont suppose anyone can find the menandmotors programme where John Mcguiness and some other racers were testing the 05 litre bikes at the isle of man? I remember watching it then and enjoyed it but struggled to find it ever since,

Have been out for a nice ride around MK, on the way back at a crossroads saw a elderly guy zoom across in front of me on his 400cc scooter and no helmet , maybe he is starting the revolution and saying balls to the state?

I personally think it should be law for helmets and protective clothing alike. I have no time for the flip flop and shorts brigade and no sympathy for their limbs hanging off after an accident, by fault of their own or not! People say I wish to have the choice, would likely wear one anyway, so why worry about it changing, just continue to ride around with an ice cream tub on your head and suffer the consequence if you come off, doesn't affect anyone else so crack on! No need to over throw the rule as you are likely to do as you wish anyhow! On a positive note, the sun is shining, I'm off to put my helmet and protective clothing on and take the lovely out!
