  1. The local constabulary have taken a few pictures of me while riding
  2. I have stayed in lots of major European cities and that's what I use wherever I am.
  3. I don't carry a chain and the lock you see in the picture fits under the seat and I forget it's there most of the time.
  4. My wife and I are touring at the moment, we are in Arenzano Italy having travelled through France and Switzerland and this is what I use Works for me, and if I feel the place is safe I might not use it at all. Ride be happy.
  5. Nobody pays attention to alarms, there are numerous YouTube videos of bikes alarm screaming while the bike is loaded into the back of a van and people walking past taking not a blind bit of notice. A big f#*k off lock deters some, but if they want your bike ain't nuffin gonna stop em. Stop worrying and enjoy the riding.
  6. Every time someone looks at you they take a mental picture, not much different to taking an actual picture really. Snap away, I don't mind. Unless they publish it then I want a cut.
  7. You are focusing solely on seat height, seat width plays a big part of whether you can get your feet down or not. The further your legs are apart the shorter they become. You could have a taller bike with a narrow seat and it could be fine. You just need to sit on a lot of bikes until you find on that fits.
  8. I have a couple of friends that run tour companies and they need multiple customers on any one trip to make it pay. I can't see taking one passenger on a trip can be profitable unless you charge exorbitant rates which will put people off. Just plan your own trips, take off and enjoy
  9. I think this business plan will be cost prohibitive with insurance and clothing. I mean how much is one person prepared to pay to be a pillion. The hire and reward insurance used by bike taxi firms would be UK only, prices will soar if you are thinking of going to Europe. Good luck with your dream, but I think it is just that.
  10. The OP seems to have gone on the missing list.
  11. The thing with trikes is you have all the disadvantages of a car and non of the advantages of a bike, it's a kind of lose lose situation.
  12. There are other problem to consider. Who supplies the riding gear, helmet, jacket, trousers, boots and gloves? this is expensive and multiple sizes would be required. Would the customers want to wear a second hand helmet. If the customer is to supply the gear this would make it cost prohibitive for a maybe one off trip. Like I said, nice idea doing what you love as a business but in reality, impractical!
  13. It probably looks like a good idea sitting in your armchair but the practicalities in reality would make it extremely difficult, and as already mentioned, who would insure you for such a commercial venture?
  14. I went to the Superbike Factory a few years ago and was not impressed, the bikes looked unloved, I left and bought elsewhere.
  15. Does the jacket have adjustment in the arms? If not, some velcro or an elastic band might do the trick. Cheaper than new mirrors
  16. Oh, OK, not to me though.
  17. Maybe someone can educate me and tell what is the point of mirrored visors?
  18. It's not grammar policing only spelling
  19. Too busy!
  20. Complain to the Institute of Actuaries
  21. This was covered a couple of weeks ago, try a forum search.
  22. You said you had a few questions, what are the other questions?
  23. I used to let others indiscretions bother me, I just ignore it now and get on with my life. Unless it affects me personally.
