I think it ended well It did what Game of Thrones always did, the unexpected

When I was 11 a group of 16 year old boys had kicked their rugby ball into the gutter on the school roof. They couldn't get it, and were using a drain pipe to try and climb the wall but kept falling. I bet a friend I could get it, who then (probably hoping I'd hilariously fail) shouted at the lads and put me up to it. The lads marched me to the drain pipe and said "go on then". My hands were skinny enough to fit in the gap between the drain pipe and the wall, so I held the drain, pushed my feet off against the wall, and scaled the pipe while walking up the wall. They went mad as I got near to the top, but I was shattered, I smacked the ball out but fell. Luckily I was caught, unluckily a teacher saw me fall off the schools roof and landed me in a world of trouble They later found me and asked me my name, when they heard my surname was "Foster" they said "We'll call you Fozzie" and it stuck

Took me a moment to catch on "Why does he care about her well being if he's literally writing a note to tell the world Jon is the... Ohhhhhhhh" Gutted he died, I warmed up to his character quite a bit. When Little finger went, I thought that he was safe. As they both represented the smartest players of the game of thrones to me. But came at it from different ways.

I used to help people with fixing bikes. I only stopped as you got the odd character who took advantage and wanted the world. So I began only helping those I was friends with. The below is a recent example of why I'm hesitant. A year ago, I serviced a bike to make it roadworthy. The owner just wanted the urgent bits doing, the brake calipers and tyres. I warned the bike needed quite a lot doing to it due to its lack of history, and suggested quite a comprehensive service. As they had just bought the bike they were tight on funds, so didn't go ahead, but they worried about the reliability of the bike. I assured an old bike was fine as long as it was well maintained, which it would be by me if I serviced it. A big winter service was planned but never happened. Not worked on the bike in 6 months, not seen it in a good 3. Found out this week they blamed their chain being bone dry, and their oil level being low on me. And also implied I'd said their bike was "well maintained". In other words, they haven't done the most basic of checks in months, and blamed the last guy that did work on it for them

Despite the rushed nature of the last season, I've liked how they've managed her madness. It's been hinted at since early on "take what is mine with fire and blood" because she was denied ships. She would show hints of this madness when things don't go her way, it was only the likes of Jorah etc who kept her level. It's not reasonable, it's not rational, it's not something you can sympathise with. Like her father, it's like a terminal condition. I was worried they'd make it more about Cersei pushing Dany over the edge. But a lot of people can say they've met a "Cersei" in life who drove them or others into a very angry state. So I thought it was a great touch she didn't go mad until after the city surrendered. As at that point, the armies could have marched to the red keep and captured Cersei. But this wasn't enough for the mad queen.

Danny Baker:is there a place for racist comments in public?
Fozzie replied to Valko's topic in General Chat
This is something I'm quick to point out often. And it ties in with what a famous comedian had to say. Reg D Hunter summed it up perfectly in his last stand up tour. He explained how at one show he got in trouble for using the N word despite being a black man himself. And one that is well known for making light of the race issue. One thing he said *shines* in this situation. "It wasn't about racism, it was about privileged white peoples discomfort with the appearance of racism". Essentially this suggests a lot of the "offended" made the association (due to being aware of it through whatever mechanism), and then reacted in outrage due to how uncomfortable it made them. In this case resulting in Danny Baker getting sacked. Because the reality of whether it was racist or not didn't matter, it was how it *could* be construed. Which is a worry as that opens the door for a new type of prejudice, and the idea is we strive for equality, and this can't exist with prejudice in either direction. Would I have sacked him? He would have apologised for damn sure. If the black community had an outcry I would have sacked him. But at the moment I'm not hearing that outcry. Just white people bickering over whether or not it was racist -
Once hit a pheasant and had a science lesson as I will now explain... I nearly missed it, but it was clipped by an alloy wheel on the front right. It carried on running, but transitioned from a solid into a liquid

I did wonder if the guns were able to rotate all the way around? Would just take a few ships to turn side on and you'd have 360 degrees covered. I hope that was the case, and Dany decided it wasn't worth risking her and her last dragon this close to the iron throne.

Narrative fell to shit in this season. It's a lot of big moments badly strung together. I was ok with Rhaegals death. Unexpected as hell. The bolts came from the left, a lot of them missed, and Drogon was shielded by his brother being in the way. I actually wondered if Rhaegal is dead... Lord of light had a mention, can he bring back a dragon? Was the shot to the neck fatal? Would be a good surprise to see him scrape it or be brought back. I had a small debate/grumble at a superfan on FB who thinks the core characters are too protected by plot armour. If you think about it, they always were. We just had our expectations subverted by other characters deaths, often as they were bigged up to be more important. We are at the end and there are literally no more big characters to spare. Kill Jon or Dani then the issue with lineage goes away and everyone falls behind whoever is left. Jamie, Tyrion, and Cersei have their big clash. The Hound and The Mountain. These are big moments people want to see, and it comes at the cost we lose the unpredictability. I would have gone for the alternative and leave people guessing until the end. But at least the way it is now, we are guessing which of the core characters will snag it. It has 2 more episodes to redeem itself!

I definitely like it, it was a great way to tie up the movies. Was a little dubious on the title for the movie, in some ways it's a bit back to front. Stark refers to "That's the endgame" in Age of Ulton referring to an attack from space (which would be Thanos). Thanos comes, wins, and the movie ends with them in the Endgame. The second movie saw the Avengers and Thanos all going for the infinity stones in an all out war. Loved the use of time travel, and the theory of it. That if you travel in time you create an alternate timeline by messing around. You are bound to your own timeline and cannot change it. The bits I have questions about... Spoilers ahoy. 1. Loki gets the tesseract, and teleports away in a botched time heist... This is a new timeline now as where did he go? Is this the basis for his new tv show coming? And does this mean he survived in a Gamora style round about way. 2. Returning the tesseract... How'd they get the stone back in it? 3. Returning the soul stone... We're saying Steve was like "sup redskull, here's your stone back *flips it over the edge*". The Redskull clearly says it's an "ever lasting exchange". Which sounds like a posh way of saying no returns, or at the very least no refunds. 4. Steve goes back, lives out a life, his future becomes something that took place in the past. This can be explained away with the fact that Peggy had late stage dementia when he sees her in the right timeline. So she forgot their life together. But he managed to keep it all secret, and live happily knowing Hydra were infiltrating and taking over? Or maybe he meddled more than we know?.. But I want to know the ins and outs. 8/10 score from me. The first movie getting a 9.5. It would have got the same, but a tie up movie like this shouldn't be leaving more questions than JJ Abrams.

Glad to see Bottas win! The guys got talent. Hopefully not another season of Hamilton winning mostly everything. Would like some competition!

Audi Quattro driven by a bloke around my age, going towards Media city. Trying to join the roundabout to turn left. The road I'm on splits into two, a lane to turn left/go straight over, and a lane to go straight over/right (straight over is a dual carriageway). But occasionally you get an idiot who dives up the right lane when it's clear and then turns left. This causes trouble, especially when the person in the left lane wants to go straight over. An Audi TT Quattro bombs up alongside and I guess he's going to do something dodgy. As soon as it's clear, we both go and turn left. It's a dual carriageway we join so he's now on my right. I sort of tut to myself but he's not racing off so I guess he's just cheeky rather than the road rage bully type. Half a mile later, I need to be in the right lane for a right at the roundabout. There's a 3-4 car sized gap between the TT and the car ahead of him and I'm actually ahead of him on the left, so I position, check to see if he's closing, he's not, so I indicate and move over. He must have been waiting for me to do it in a low gear ready to pounce, as he cleared the gap in a split second. He forces in alongside me when I'm over half way over, blares his horn, and tries to push me back into the left lane. He's not looking at me as I look at him, he just stares ahead. It irks me that if I swung in without indication, he'd have not been able to react. He counted on me being sensible, so that he could be a dick. Fortunately, the roundabout ahead splits into 3, clearly marked, left, straight, and right. It's been recently remarked, but I happen to know if you go straight, as you join the roundabout the next arrow you find is straight/right. So I calmly return to my left lane, keep alongside him, and as he gets stuck behind 4 cars, I go down the clear lane down the middle, join the roundabout which has just cleared, which nips me ahead of the car waiting in the right, and lets me filter into the right without bothering anyone to do it. I could have fallen behind him, and would have. But when a clean/legal move that gets you ahead is on the cards, I feel it makes a strong point about how driving smart is always going to trump driving like a nob.

Aprillia garden find .
Fozzie replied to fastbob's topic in Old Motorbikes, Projects and Restorations
I actually think you might just own the most reliable RS125 in history with it working after all that time On my and all the others I've ever known, you plan on servicing the top end at 10k, it will seize at 8. You plan on doing it at 8k, it will seize at 6. If you run ever so slightly the wrong oil, that's a seize. Lean out a rich mixture even slightly too much, seize. Ride it too long on a hot day, seize. Look at it funny? That may have just cost you your crank case seals. I've had 2 RS125's and an RS50. If you need help just pop a question as I've probably had whatever part it is out of the bike at some time or another And great find btw! -
Their philosophy is stack em deep, sell em cheap. I bought my current bike for example, at a good price. Paid about 4k for it. Superbike factory had one that looked exactly the same in the pictures, not much more mileage too, but it was £3400. When I saw it in the flesh, I could just tell it had lived a hard life. No damage as such, but lots of little things that all said "i've not been serviced properly once". So when you buy from there, if it's a cheap bike, make sure you have the skills to really go through it and tidy it up.

S2 fz6 has abs and improved fueling and a few other improvements. The man knows his beans.
-
All of the above I like to be cheeky, I look at the £5000 price tag on the bike and say "How much is this £3000 bike?" Gets their attention

Of the two you list the XJ6 as it's a lot lighter (or feels it at least), in a lower tax band, and the better bike to ride imo. But what about the Yamaha FZ6? I had one of these: It's upright, more powerful than both you list, and I also had an XJ6 for about 6 months. I'd say the FZ6 out performs it in about every way. I was using it for commuting and a bit of fun. Hope that helps

A little dent here or there adds character If you ride a spotless bike, as in, not even a stone chip, and I think you've bought a pretty living room ornament rather than a machine to ride

The F4i onwards comes with a Mofset from factory . Mine did pack up last year however Took Honda 2 decades to finally sort it! I replaced mine when an 08 fireblade at work popped its reg/rec. I heard they were fitting better units, so whether it was an improvement but some still went wrong I don't know. The worry was it could take out the stator when it went wrong so I just didn't want to risk it for the sake of £50-£60. Think my favourite was actually the old FS

It's been said, the "base" substance in petrol is the same where ever you go. Some brands put in cleaning agents, others target performance. I haven't worked in the industry for a while now, but Shell V-power was the best premium fuel, but often isn't worth the cost. For regular grade fuels, BP was actually the worst performing in a lot of tests. Supermarkets were much the same, so where ever is cheapest chap. I fill up at Costco.

I've had: Honda CBR600FY - 2000 (the carbed version of the F4i) Honda CBR600F6 - 2006 (Owned for 2 years) Honda CBR600FS - 2003(Owned for nearly 2 years) Honda CBR600FAC - 2013 (Current bike) I've owned these in between sportier models, and even big tourers like the 165BHP Honda Blackbird. Yes production ceased in 2006 for the F4i, but parts are still readily available, especially through David Silver spares. The weak point on all but the 2013 model is the cam chain tensioner and the reg/rec. For me the CCT failed on every one, although never in a bad way, it was just an annoying rattle at 5000rpm. I did about 6000 miles with it rattling and only changed it as the rattle started at other points in the rev range. The reg/rec never went wrong in mine, but I did fit an uprated one on the F6 just in case. Compared to the CBF1000, which rather fittingly was given to me as a hire bike while the F6 was in for a service, they feel about as powerful, but you don't have the low down torque of the 1000cc engine on the 600. You have to work it, which I personally love. Differences between the models in short sentences. Carbed one had a great induction noise, it was smooth, didn't need much choke on cold starts, but wasn't as precise as a Fi bike. Injected models have an annoying (to me) high idle on start up as they warm up. If you fit a loud exhaust and live in a quiet residential area this needs to be considered. I used to pull away just on the clutch most mornings. 2013 model - Slightly less top end than the previous, but a fantastic amount of mid-range shove, and none of the gripes of the previous year models. Any specific questions, let me know. If I had to get a commuter, an old F4 or F4i, even an F3 would be high on my list.

For me, bringing party ring biscuits to the show for me is a dangerous business, bring ice buns even more so, and if it's an apple turnover... There's going to be a pregnancy If the government in Brunei read this thread, I think they'd expand their definition on what constitutes a stoning
