    Well.

I had a drink in the van last night.  First proper one since the long covid shite.

Half a bottle of wine and a rather large gin.

I woke up with headache and a heart beating like a bugger....lol

Grace has booked a table in the Marine for tea (with some friends of ours) and I have requested she books the ambulance for 7 pm😂

    Well.

    Now heres a tale....

No I'm not in Hull general but have spent the last 2 hours on hornsea beach freezing my tits off in a t shirt and shorts.

So.  Relatively behaved my self.  Had a nice tea and a few pints. Left at 10 to 7pm.

Walking on the front back to site this young couple ask if we know owt about seals as there's one stranded.

I know nothing about seals neither does Grace or Brendan n Cath.  BUT we are a few pints in.......

Cue.  Initially dreadful attempts to get it back into the sea where I thought it was going to take my hand off.

Several phone calls to various organisations we found on Google.

    Seal rescue eventually turned up.

Evidently nowt really up with it and it just fancied a rest.......

I am now panting like a bugger and drinking an Irish coffee......

As my mate has just stated, if we'd have got a taxi none of this shite would have happened....lol

Cheers for the reply. Ahh right yes of course, I'll look into the spark plugs. The fuel is definitely there, I'd not long mostly filled it but I totally get how that could be an easy mistake! As for the front brake randomly doing that, any suggestions?

    Thanks

It quite possibly wasn't the front brake.

You say you were practicing clutch control?

If you're feathering it during a u turn and released suddenly when the wheels cocked it could easily skid out?

    Stick with it

    Not a fan I guess?

    Little anecdote.

My wife was working in one of the vaccination centres during one of the lockdowns as a volunteer.

One morning these goons with ear pieces turn up.

Johnsons looking for a suitable centre to do a meet n greet in front of the cameras.

Manager of the centre explains the situation and asks who would be willing to meet him in front of the cameras.

Lisa refused point blank to have any part of his PR trip to the North.....

So did the rest of the volunteers.  Some expressing a desire to meet him but physically attack him....lol

    The goons left.

On the evening news he was at a vaccination centre 2 mile away in batley.

Again though there was a lack of interviews and elbow touching......

Anyone know of any free online or downloadable software to watermark images?

I have almost 200 to do but most places only allow 5 then want paying loads of money

I'll get my 2 geeks on it.

If I sort it we'll sort this week.

I imagine Grace will be able.

We are at mac's at Goole.  She ordered in Leeds?????

A few years ago I went into newsagent for a drink and the girl on counter handed me a copy.

" We are giving free copies to every customer today"

I gave it straight back

    I remember them doing that....lol

Pins in eyes springs to mind😂

Still the case though that certain areas of the mainstream media basically run the country and have the power and influence to brain wash the general public.

And I'm not saying its entirely one sided.

But when you have 80% of the daily newspapers of right leanings and the government have them in their pocket then unbiased reporting is very difficult.

I saw a headline last week pleading for the public to let Johnson get on with his job after he was caught breaking the law again.

This was an extreme case of political brainwashing and to then put Johnson in direct comparison with Churchill was astounding and frankly dangerous.

We are not at war but according to the DM we are.....

Anyway off to read me Guardian....lol

It was just the flapjack headline drew me in on my news feed. I love a flapjack, to summarise if it's a standard flapjack or one with a bit of a topping it's a cake. Jazz it up too much and you risk it becoming a celebratory treat and then you have to put v.a.t. on top.

If people are gluing themselves to tankers over the environment. Then brothers we need to make a stand for the honour of a flapjack action is needed!!!

I love a bit of flap jack.

    On the newspaper link....

Anyone remember when the s*n did the holidays for a fiver?

Well long story short. Someone bought a copy and brought it into the house.  Well, it was Lisa and she has never been forgiven....lol

A ceremonial burning took place in the garden along with a solemn oath it would never happen again....lol

  9. Good morning.

Off to the coast at dinner time today for a week.

    Hull tonight.

    Sea air and relaxation 😌

Still buggered with this long covid shite though.

Steroids are strange things, I take them, feel great for an hour then relapse badly and struggle to breath....

Had free tickets for the rugby last night but it was deemed a stupid move....lol

    Can't wait to have a beer....lol

Although bright side.  I've been telling everyone I gave up ale for lent.

    Have a good weekend all

I'm with you there this forum youtube and WhatsApp are the closest I get to social media. I found Facebook used to wind me up and generally not good for me. Wife loves it I leave her to it.

I use Facebook.   Mainly for the pages and groups etc.

Occasionally posting the odd glamour shot when I'm posing.

But I don't get involved in the keyboard warriors syndrome.   I say to the kids, "never say owt on social media which in a pub would result in you getting a crack"

And I think that's the problem, its nameless and shameless.  Very few repercussions on the net.

    Oh.

    And far too much hate
