Our daughter has the Toyota version of that, the 107, C1 and Aygo are basically the same car. She's does Chester to Crewe every day and it's been pretty good. The only thing is the 3 pot engine can use a lot of oil and the early one were prone to clutch issues. Later models had an updated clutch and can cover huge mileages with no problems. Check the high level brake light for rainwater leakage. There's a foam gasket that perishes. I replaced it with silicone. To be fair. Ours uses no more oil than usual. Never had a problem with it. Only done 30k though. Basically r lass pottering about to work etc and to the coast.

As above. I won patent of the year a couple of year back. Lewis came home from rugby training complaining of a sore head n feeling dizzy. Told him to crack on. Get to bed....... Sent him to school in morning. Yes you've guessed it...... 2 hours later. Phone call from school. Lewis is projectile vomiting. Dizzy and has a severe head ache..... Hospital were good as gold. Evidently round here it's quite common for dad's to tell their sons there's nowt up wi them I'd go. Had plenty of concussions over the years. Best to be safe.

If thinking of cars. Lisa has a 107 Peugeot. Same as Citroen c1 etc. Great little car. Cheap/No tax. Cheap insurance and really easy to run. I love it. Will do 90 on the motorway. Albeit shakes a bit and you do get odd looks as your passing them with 4 in the car...lol Around 50 mpg depending if it's me treating it like a go kart or Lisa like a normal person. I said to Lisa. I'll take the 107 to coast tonight (me n kids going. R lass out Saturday with friends) It's only the fact I'm taking a fair bit of Xmas cramp accross that we are going in mine. I find this really sad. You can't ride your bike to work. Is this from the imminent threat of violence you perceive? Do we think a media frenzy is also affecting perceptions of risk? I live on a not too nice area. Ride my bike when I want and think nothing of taking into the city centre or the 2 nearby towns which are officially classed as deprived areas. We have the same quad dickheads n moped riding buffoons but I cannot honestly say I've ever been threatened or felt intimidated. The only conversation I have ever had with any of them was when I instigated the conversation and explained some of the highway code..... The police. Yes some good some bad. They simply don't have the resources now to tackle every crime. They are not above the law though. We in west York's have an on going court case at present when an armed officer shot dead a driver on the M62. It's all too easy to become a victim and maybe we don't help ourselves sometimes by in reality perpetrating a self fulfilling prophecy by not riding when we wish and when we do ride we ride scared?

Sounds very familiar. Mate of mine bought the same bike in Germany whilst serving over there. Rode it home on leave. Yes you've guessed it. Nicked within days of being on west Yorkshire.....

I remember when bikes only had kickstarts (and cars came with starting handles as back-up !) and I would have sold a kidney for an electric start. All dressed for winter, and thirty kicks later the bike hasn't started and I'm about to faint with heat exhaustion ! Maybe the kickstart is good to have for emergencies, but I would definitely go for a battery tender. The battery will last longer with one too. And then you feel the blood trickling down your shin.... Happy days
