3. Sounds good to me. Taxi drivers..... On 1 occassion. Myself and 3 gobshite glaswegians (Good friends of mine) got a taxi from limervaghny to Portrush. X2 sick due to previous nights ale. The taxi bottomed out over the mountains....lol Oh and it was 25 yr old...lol Happy days
4. Firstly. When are you going? I'd avoid NW200 and Ulster gp weeks if you are not going for the racing as the north would be very busy. And you'd struggle for the ferry. Big detour but you are missing Cork in the south. If I was tootling for a week I'd definitely make the effort. Avoid Derry. Lovely place. But unless you know exactly what the score is...... I'd ride the NW200. Stay maybe a night in port stewart on the beer. Good place and near to giants causeway. The scenery in the north is outstanding but some of the roads are shocking. In fact the same goes for the south. Taxi drivers in the north are lunatics. Prepare to tell your life story to everyone you meet. But be careful in the north. Switch on. Take note of surroundings. Flags and kerb stones are good indicators. Never never discuss politics or religion in pubs. Foot note. We are back over in May for the NW200.
5. It will be a new website and everything. Auto 66 will longer run the events. Mick Grant is 1 of the organisers. He will attract a lot of present day and past stars Proper excited about this.... Six. If you ever come up. Ride the course on the Friday. Public road. You will shit it..... Then see it on the Sat and you will be in awe....

7. I was on nights other week. Lisa phoned me to inform me she had just ate at a Michelin star restaurant in Leeds... What!!! Friend of a friend had booked n paid deposit etc but then became ill the day of the meal. Her n her mate went instead. Bloody awful she reckoned £90 each should have been. Now we will pay decent brass for decent food but she reckoned it was overpriced nonsense
8. Is it all confirmed now? Give us a shout Westbeef if you go over mate. We used to do most race weekends every year
9. Always put my right glove on first. So if for any reason e.g. taking my phone out of my pocket. I then have to remove my other glove and start again so I put the right one on first..... Boots. The same.... Cross myself 6 times on a plane before take off.... Yes. Weirdo I know.... I actually think I'm getting worse. Borderline proper OCD. O have to turn the lights off atleast twice...lol. turn off. Turn back on then off to make sure they are off!!!
10. August bank holiday dodgy too as it's motogp at siverstone Good point, best avoid a bank holiday weekend. MOT
11. Yes I'm in the same business. Old Man on Suezmax tankers. A few years ago there was a report that the low frequency vibrations on low speed marine diesels which are continuous so long as the M/E is running will negatively affect your hearing regardless of where you are working on the ship. Given my average voyage length berth to berth is 40 days that's a lot of exposure. This is thought to be the prime cause of my hearing loss although it can't be proved. It's also why the MCA are pushing hearing as part of the ENG1 in older seamen. As usual they want younger people and get rid of us oldies, I am fortunately on cruisers last 15 years. So far I just can say my sight is slightly down 19/20 and hearing is same since I was 20. Who knows for how long. I think I've been lucky. Im in the power industry and have thus far passed the hearing test part of my medical each year. I have used the foam inserts for the last 10 years or so. The large over hear traditional muffs before that.

13. If i arent working . I will be turning up in a car with at least 1 child. Well 1 six foot child who was drinking pints of lager at last years... Tother 1 might turn up this year too. This after saying to lisa. "Lewis was talking to this strange man" after bumping into @Stu on the front at hornsea Was going to say, make sure you bring him along again! We'll save a space around the firepit for him! The other is more than welcome to join us round the fire too, as long as his music choices aren't as dire as Rickys! Tother ones a her. Lewis's twin....lol Both as daft just daft differently
14. Hmm I think that counts as a massive forfeit......likewise turning up in a car van or truck unless you are bringing marquees or something but I'm sure you can get that stuff on a bike If i arent working . I will be turning up in a car with at least 1 child. Well 1 six foot child who was drinking pints of lager at last years... Tother 1 might turn up this year too. This after saying to lisa. 19. I left school at 16. Was really lucky to get a decent apprenticeship. Hated school and like many, nobody in my family had ever been in 6th form, nevermind Uni Did a proper apprenticeship. Sat on my laurels for a few year then got bored. Again fortunately I've always worked for big multi nationals. Thus once showing willing they between them have put me through everything since. Lisa. My over half. Bizzarely enough has done the same. Left school at 16. In her family and extended family she was the first to go to college. First to go to uni and certainly first to do a masters. Strangely though. If anyone asks what I do. First comment is "mech tech by trade" I was an absolute twat at school. I tell my kids now to work work work at school. Not do it the hard way like I did. Totally agree with the FU to some of the teachers mind
20. You know, I'm proper envious of your daughter here! My mum could just about scrape a brush through my hair and yank it into a pony tail. (Disclaimer, love my mum to bits and she's a fab mum, she's just a tom-boy too!) To this day I would love to know how to do a french braid (Mainly cos I have super curly hair, kinda like Merida from Brave and so regularly look like an unruly lion!) but just don't have the co-ordination or know how and never really had the sources to learn from. Always been a tom-boy and didn't really care about makeup and the like when girls my age did. Sounds like you've set your daughter up with some pretty cool life lessons here Would give you a gold star if I could. They weren't right good half the time....lol Funny thing is. Even to thus day it's a standing joke. Graces friend spends a lot of time with us as a family (sad tale. She lost her mam to cancer some years back) and we were at the coast. Sure enough 6 pints of Stella and I'm attempting French plaits in the van with x2 14 year old girls
